The idea of Marcassin having a huge ass crush on Cassiopeia but never admitting it to himself. It’s pretty obvious so Swaine picked up on it. Swaine will say things like “Do you love her?” and Marcassin just completely denies it, even though he’s blushing super hard and was talking about her 2 minutes prior. Then you get Swaine saying stuff like “My brother’s cute, isn’t he?” to Cassiopeia and she has no idea so she’s just really confused.
