Joey pursed her lips slightly. “I doubt that, especially with him being from America. They aren’t really involved much with everything going on, are they?” she questioned with a tilt of her head.
"Did you somehow miss that their school was destroyed by death eaters?" Ivy questioned back, a bit of snark in her tone. "I don't think we can assume that anymore."
“Well damn, I’m sorry to offend.” Oliver laughed, rolling his eyes. “Why do they force you to learn it if you already know it? You should be able to like, test into the next year or something. I mean, it’s only fair.” He never understood the school systems and the way they treated learning. He never cared much for most school classes anyways though. “Alright. Well then let’s go.” He said, locking their arms together firmly and apparating them to the front steps of Ashworth’s greenhouse. “After you.”
"Now that would be nice, but I know it because I studied ahead. I've only got the rest of the year and I'm done with Hogwarts, so there's really no point complaining, I suppose." She shrugged, grasping his arm as they traveled. Ivy wasn't entirely fond of apparation, but it was better than portkey. "The greenhouse?"

“He wishes,” Damian scoffed, rolling his eyes at the girl. “I have a great personality.”
“Ooh, you don’t look thrilled about that. Did he try something?” She wanted to know all the details, especially since it seemed he wanted to dismiss the topic. “Yeah, sure you do. About as much personality as a plank.”

“Yeah, that’s what I’m worried about,” Honor replied as she was cleaning the Red Fern for closing. “Can you hand me that plate off that table?”
“Well, clearly these Crimson Allies are the problem,” Ivy huffed as she reached for the requested plate. “The Death Eaters were quiet until they showed up and started poking at them.”

“I thought you Ravenclaws were supposed to like, love studying or something. I’ve been trying to learn about y’all and I thought that was a thing.” Oliver grinned, pulling her in to kiss her forehead. “Alright well then I’m extremely glad I got you away. I’d hate to have you surrounded by a bunch of guys all trying to sneak a kiss without me there to be the one to get it.” He pulled her into him and grabbed his wand. “You gonna be okay to apparate? I’m a little impatient to show you this.”
"That's just stereotypical." She teased with a grin. "We like learning, yes. But I'm not learning by reading the same material over and over. And aside from two, maybe three chapters, it was things I already knew." Ivy couldn't help but be curious about what he was anxious about; it was like a puzzle, trying to figure out what this surprise was. "I've only side apparated a few times, but it should be okay."
“That’s because the last person who worked for the Prophet and said something about it, died. Rest in peace Rita Skeeter,” she quipped. “Probably everything. I’m willing to bet we only know two percent about what really is going on.”
"I doubt anyone really knows. If they did, that little fiasco never would have happened on New Year's now, would it?"
“I got stuck in some shop with some guy,” Damian grumbled, rolling his eyes. “Like you, I’m glad this face wasn’t touched. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have anything else.”
"Some guy in a shop. That's very descriptive. Something happen you're ashamed about, Pucey?" Ivy teased, grinning at the boy. "Perhaps it's time you work on that personality. Never know. Your face not be so lucky next time."
Joey shuggred at the question. Last she heard he was taken to hospital, she hadn’t heard anything else. “At least you and Oliver weren’t there,” Joey said softly, finally getting the courage to sip up through the straw
"Very lucky. If i didn't know any better, I'd think he knew beforehand and made other plans." Ivy said it with a laugh, but now that she had said it, she wondered if that had been a possibility.
"I see you managed to get out of that nightmare without hardly a scratch. Good thing, too. I'm not sure how the world would recover if anything happened to that pretty face of yours."

“Well the Prophet certainly hasn’t paid them any mind,” Ivy said, pouting as innocently as she could. “This is the first I’ve heard of any of that happening. I wonder what else the paper’s keeping from us.”
"The best?"
"Well, so far only one person's died, right? Who's to say it won't be worse from here on out? So yes, all things considered, the best."
“I don’t know what to believe, but they were definitely death eaters. I’m sure I saw a couple of people I know under hoods too, but maybe they were just trying to blend in so they weren’t attacked too. James was hit straight off the bat,” Joey explained, unable to stomach her own drink as she spoke about it. “Crazy times.”
Ivy could guess which death eaters had been present, including her own parents. She sipped on her drink as she listened, mostly to keep herself from smiling that a Potter brat had been hurt. It was just unfortunate it was the Potter she found tolerable. "Was he? Is he alright?"
“For all we know, the best is over and the worst is yet to come.”
“I think the worst part about Sunday night was seeing the horror on the younger kids faces. They seemed so traumatised,” Joey frowned, standing by Ivy.

"I had heard something happened at the party, but I wasn't actually there. Oliver had made plans for us that evening so I guess I had left just in time." Ivy replied, twirling the straw of her beverage between her forefinger and thumb. "Is it true, then? What they were saying about the Successor?"

“Practice? On New Year’s Eve? Doesn’t he ever rest?” Indy wondered. “No. I haven’t had arm candy in a while, Ive. Haven’t you noticed?”
“I guess it’s alright. I’ll just be dating the best player in the league with all the practice he’s been putting in.” She shrugged. “Okay, but there’s got to have been some eye candy.”
