i’ve always wondered who chrollo’s parents are, and i have one theory about them.

chrollo’s father was a rich man who had an affair with chrollo’s mother, who was poor and, i think, a fake fortune-teller. when chrollo’s mother found out she was pregnant, she told chrollo’s father (secretly hoping they could raise their son together), but he didn’t want to divorce his wife and abandoned them.

after nine months, chrollo’s mother had a difficult childbirth. she also held a grudge against chrollo because his father had disappeared, and she eventually abandoned him.

i also have a second ending to my theory: chrollo’s mother got sick and died, and as for chrollo’s father, he didn’t give a damn about chrollo’s existence because he was married and had other children

okay, um i’m a little bit nervous because i haven’t posted my thoughts for a long time, and i feel this post is will be long

author’s note: i don’t really ship anyone in hxh. i just prefer the canon pairs, like meruem and komigi

1. the first ship that i hate, hate, hate is killua x illumi, i don’t know why does people even ship them, i mean they are SIBLINGS, like what the fuck wrong with y’all?

2. hisoka x gon. how did people even come up with this one? hisoka is an adult and gon is literally a kid. and canonically, gon finds hisoka weird. I don’t get why people ship them.

3. gon x killua and kurapika x leorio — i think these ships kind of take away from the true meaning of friendship. friendship isn’t always about kissing, hugging, or sex. it’s about being there for your friend, trusting them, and always supporting them. just because people trust each other doesn’t mean they’re in love.

4. kurapika x chrollo. i even made a special post about this ship. i keep seeing people ship them on tiktok, and—okay, let’s just ignore the obvious fact that kurapika and chrollo are enemies who both killed their loved ones.(chrollo killed kurapika’s clan, and kurapika, in return, killed chrollo’s friends).even in the anime, it’s clear they’re not in love at all. every time kurapika saw a spider, gon and killua couldn’t even calm down his rage

5. machi x shizuku, machi x paku, shizuku x paku. such weird ships. why did these even become a thing? i actually don’t think they’re even that close — and even if they are, I really doubt they’re in love with each other

let’s talk about heterosexual ships, that i hate, hate, hate

6. palm x gon. same story as with hisoka — it’s just such a creepy, pedophilic ship(kill the one who came up with this)

7.chrollo x neon. i don’t like neon, she’s a rich spoiled child. additionally, this ship doesn’t make any sense, because chrollo was just using neon for his own goals. and frankly, it’s not even clear if neon had any feelings for chrollo

8. kurapika x neon. as i said, i don’t like neon

recently, i asked my male friend to rate dean’s appearance from 1 to 10, and he said, “i’d give him a 2- he’s not that handsome” and i responded, “whaaaat?!he’s the most attractive man in the world!”

i think men are jealous of dean’s beauty. when i was in 9th grade, i asked my male classmate, “who is your favorite character dean or sam?” and he replied, “sam, because dean is more handsome”

hxh comeback

togashi recently shared pages from the 413 chapter on twitter. given his tendency to take long hiatuses, it's likely we'll see new chapters in 2026 or 2027. if hxh returns in late 2025, i can’t wait to see gon and killua as main characters again. it would also be intriguing to discover who is chrollo’s ideal partner, and, i secretly hope that hisoka doesn't die soon

in december 2024, i read somewhere that if togashi releases another 50 chapters after chapter 410, madhouse may begin working on the anime again (i don't think we can trust this information, but there is still hope)
