ABOUT THIS BLOG !!

INTRODUCTION:

Well I'm Ivy and I'm an asoiaf artist !! I draw canon characters, ships ocs and more <3

I tend to draw more "what if" scenarios cause the canon can be so sad sometimes 🥲 so while I do draw from canon I LOVE my aus 😚

I originally got into asoiaf through game of thrones and got back into it when hotd came out, it made me reread the books and I've just fallen back in love with grrm works !!

Hi so I see you take requests for art (and as someone who commissions art this feels extremely odd to get for free) would you do a Helaegon piece (Helaena x Aegon)

I imagine that helaena was playing outside and got tired so aegon "had too 😉" to carry her back inside

And the reason I do requests is because I don't currently do commissions!! These requests are mostly for sparking idea's if im stuck on what to draw next <3

Rhaena should be mixed race fyi not white. She is half Velaryon.

I was personally under the impression that the Alyssa Velaryon was not a black or mixed race woman due to hotd casting a white man to play her son Jaehaerys I instead of a black or mixed race actor

I however do like that the Velaryon were made into poc so I mixed show and book canon and in my technically au and because we don't currently have any information on who Larissa's parents are / who Daemon Velaryon married I have headcanoned that he married a princess from the Summer Isles and that Larissa is one of his 4 daughters (I also have his brother the father of Lianna marry a woman from the summer isles !!!)

Now I could be totally wrong but this is personally what I have headcanoned!! + my headcanons are open to change based on the decisions for the Conquest show and any new information given by George for the shows canon or writers and directors working on these shows

I was honestly waiting until we got casting news for the conquers show until I drew more pre-dance Targaryen/Velaryon's because the conquers themselves have a Velaryon Mother so if the Velaryon's have always been black/mixed race that should reflect in their casting but its been FOREVERRRR 😭😭 and I've been getting requests to draw rhaena specifically for a while now

I swear wasn't the dunk and egg show announced after the Conquest show how do we already have information on casting???

I had seen previously that its just corlys mother who was from the summer isles but I saw that on reddit, I dont remember there being a source (😭) but that's kind of what this headcanon is based on but I pushed it further back in the family tree !!
