Day 15 Post Op. Today definitely did not pan out the way I thought it would. I started this morning off early with a longer dilation because I was planning to go to the hospital to have my catheter removed, and hospital visits generally are a day trip unfortunately with wait times. So I finally got to see the doctor about my catheter and she delivered some bad news to me. She didn’t think it’d be able to come out again, and to make matters worse she thought there might be tearing in a spot. So that devestated me. They transferred me to see a gynecologist in a bigger hospital in town. So I got a cab there and waited for 4 hours in Emerg to finally get seen. That was an very painful 4 hours too. I was sure I was going to damage my vag even more because of the sitting. The chairs there were designed as torture devices, clearly. The gyno saw me finally and didn’t seem worried about my vag and said things look fine for how they are healing. So who knows what the hell the other doctor was talking about. She removed the catheter easily and then I waited there until I needed to pee. That’s a weird experience if you aren’t used to peeing into your ass. (it’s normal for post op, don’t worry) Got a prescription for another week of antibiotics just to be safe and I was on my way. Just getting home now and I’m exhausted. Still need to do a dilation session but probably will crash after that.
Anyway, long ass, painful, boring, and emotionally draining day. But honestly it was worth it to get that stupid catheter out!
