Life update, California edition
I'm in a really good moooood today and even though I don't really have any followers who'd be interested in reading this, I thought I'd still write a blog about what I've been up to lately. This way I can go on my Tumblr 5 years from now and read what a good time I've had :P
I've been living in San Diego for almost 3 months now and still loving it. The weather is absolutely amazing, it has rained twice while I was here (the first time it was barely noticeable and lasted for about 3 minutes) and even now, in mid-October, it's a wonderful 29°C. Not to mention the ever lasting sunshine. The nights are getting colder now, but considering it's fall, I'm in heaven. It's freezing cold over in Germany (which makes me a bit happy, sorry friends and family back there).
Uni over here is a lot more work than expected with all the mid-terms, homework, papers and presentations... I'm a bit behind on my reading assignments, oops. But it's really easy at the same time. I've had two mid-terms and a quiz and those have been pretty manageable :)) Which is why I have decided that I'm on the right track and will continue concentrating on having fun rather than getting A's on my exams.... which can actually both happen at the same time, apparently.
What else... I'm going to Disneyland Anaheim in 2 days!! We have Fridays off and it's one of my friends' birthday so we've decided to spend it with Mickey & Co. Which I already did back in April so I can safely say that it's a good way to spend your birthday :D We're driving up there early on Friday morning and back to SD the same day. And then on the next day (Saturday, yes, go you) I'm catching a plane to San Francisco!! Gonna meet my family at the airport who are coming in from Frankfurt and then we'll be spending a couple of days together on the West Coast (driving down from San Francisco to Carmel/Monterey, Santa Barbara, LA, SD). I have to skip Santa Barbara, though, because I have another mid-term that Thursday so I have to take a flight back to SD from Monterey on Wednesday. And then the train up to LA on Friday :)) Universal Studios and other fun things and then back to San Diego on Sunday. After the roadtrip my family is gonna stay here in SD for 6 more days and then fly back home. But the fun doesn't end there! 5 days later I'll be off to Florida! Exploring Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the Everglades with a friend for 5 days. Kinda short but we have uni and can't skip too many days or they'll kick us out aka send us back home.
Time's flying and my time in California is already more than halfway over. I'll be back home for Christmas, but of course I'm gonna end this trip with a bang and spend the last 5 days in NYC :) NYC during Christmas season better be good! Let's not think about the fact that I have zero warm clothes right now...
Actually, my travel adventures don't end on Christmas either. Just 4 days after Christmas I'll be boarding a plane to London with my best friends :) From there we're taking a train to Nottingham where my friend is currently doing her semester abroad and celebrating New Year's Eve in the UK! Spending the first and last day in London and finally visiting the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour!!! SUPER EXCITED! And then it's time for me to finally go back to my own apartment and start my internship just a few days later... With zero additional trips scheduled. If there's something like a post-trip-depression, it's definitely gonna hit me then. And hard.
But don't fret, people, as I may be planning on attending LeakyCon 2014.......... In Orlando, Florida........ Bring on the fun.
