Woman to Woman

I just want to start of saying, I’m so sorry that this event happened. I’m sorry how that man can’t take responsibility for his lack of sense in those “20 minutes.” I’m sorry you’re now in this fight within yourself because of that night.

But I want to encourage you.

As a woman to a woman, I never had the strength to stand up and to voice what happened to me, but you’re giving me that strength. You’re the voice to the thousands of voiceless victims. You’re so brave and you’re so loved and you’re supported. You’re not defined by this event, or his absentminded decision, but you are strengthened to a strong woman that will overcome. And we women, we love and salute your bravery. So woman to woman,

Thank you for giving us a voice.

Your Security.

I feel my feet trembling when the voices are loud. I cry out, “Lord help me! Show me your face. Don’t be far from me, I’m scared!” 

You say, “My daughter, you know I will never forsake you. I created who you are and who you will be.” 

So Lord, I fall to my knees and I look to your truth. 

I’m not scared because you have sent me out prepared.

Sometimes I don’t want to fight.

Sometimes I don't want to fight.

I don't want to fight the anxious thoughts of where my future will go, or if I will ever amount to anything big. All of these thoughts make me restless, tossing and turning. Then I'm filled with overwhelming guilt of my past and letting it break my heart even more. 

I look up and I show you pieces of my broken heart and you look at me and smile reminding me that I am a co-heir in Christ, and you gave me that name because you paid my price. 

You call me daughter and saying, "beautiful." Those words hit my past and I ask, “how?” You look at me saying, you are wonderfully and fearfully made. As I lay in bed, I can't think of my past anymore, only now.

Love has no agenda

These past couple of weeks has been a rollercoaster of events. I have been revealed so much about my life and things that I need to overcome. I realized the biggest thing. I was loving with an agenda. This is hard to admit, because sometimes we just want to think we are just loving on someone. But is there an agenda or is it really just to love? I just want to love like how the Lord loves me. I want to just rest in the Lord. Enjoy Him. My flesh may fail, but My God You never will!!
