Starting Over
Happy Holydays langblr community!!!! Hope everyone is having a great time!
I think I’ve talked about this topic before, but since one of my new years resolutions is to be more consistent with this blog, I’ve made a decision. This is a side blog, what makes my experience with is a bit difficut:
- I can`t send ask as polyglotmermaid
- My dash is a mix of languges and all my hobbies, and usually most language related post get lost.
So, I decided to create a new account (that you can find here ) and start again there. I’m tagging some of you, (mostly those who I’ve talked to before and my mutuals), but hope the rest of you feel free to unfollow here and go there (if you want ofc).
This is a great change and I already see how it’s going to help me stay on top of my langblr goals! See you over there

If you’re trying to figure out what vocabulary to learn, start narrating your life in your target language.
It’s an easy way to go about finding gaps in your knowledge. For instance you might know the word for ‘toast’ but not know how to say ‘toaster’ or maybe you know ‘lock’ and 'door’ but don’t know how to say 'lock the door’

Tomorrow I’ll have my first real class. I’ll be a proper university student once more, and… I just want to thank the entire langblr and studyblr community. One year ago I was just starting to dream about going back to university after I had to drop out three years earlier. It seemed impossible at the time, but seeing you all working so hard on your dreams, studying and just kicking ass gave me the motivation to try. And look at me now, I’ve moved abroad, I manage day-to-day life in a foreign language, and I’m going to study so hard. This time I’ll get it right. I promise I’ll kick ass, and if not you’re all allowed to kick my ass!
No, but really. Thank you all so much, every single one of you. This is a wonderful community and I hope it will continue to grow and inspire others.

New #Langblr, yay!
Hi everyone! My name is Azren, aka Azren the Language Nerd. I recently learned that Tumblr has a language community, and I decided to jump in on it! I LOVE learning languages. I have felt this way probably since I was in my teens, and my passion for them has increased over time. I currently speak 3 very fluently (English, French, and Spanish). I also speak Mandarin and Gujarati at an intermediate level. My biggest focus right now is to be able to speak 8 languages in the next 15 years at an advanced level (C1-C2). My list is:

take some time to reflect on how much you’ve grown over the last few months, in any way, whether you started going to therapy, got a new job, gained new interests, finished your exams, started journaling, or even became more empathetic towards yourself. remind yourself that growth is always there, and that it doesn’t need to be incredibly life-changing to hold significance. you are growing in every way; and these things often lead to very bright things.
