this is what i half expect whenever i post selfship stuff on the selfship blog

trans man to trans man, you cannot complain about women as if they're at fault for the transphobia and ignorance we face in the selfship community because they are pretty and at times hyper/feminine. they are not in the wrong for wearing hyperfeminine clothing or being skinny/curvy, news flash women are MORE THAN ALLOWED to look this way, they are MORE THAN ALLOWED to make their s/is look this way.

what drives attention away from trans men in the selfship community is transphobia, the ignorance that others have and their heteronormative beliefs whether its internalized or not, that is real. what is not real is that women are going out of their way to drive attention away from us by being themselves, they are simply having fun and expressing themselves, whether they be feminine or not.

yes what we face in the selfship community sucks, i have experienced it first hand but we must not forget that misogyny is real also, that we must support eachother rather than point fingers when in reality women are not at fault, the pericis men that set all these expectations up and transphobes are.
