I've been living in an RV with no drinkable water, mold, and shoddy power at best for about two months now, but I'm not going to be able to stay here for more than a week more. I found a place up north that will take me, as I was able to get the funds to just barely to cover the first month's rent and the security deposit, but transportation has been an issue up to the place with vehicle problems giving me more and more bills. I'm out of money, and I while I can now guarantee a way to the new place, I'm not gonna be able to get a job soon enough to pay the rent for next month, which looms ever closer. This is why I ask for help from you all. I'm sorry it's come to this, but I need you guys' help, because I don't think I can handle being homeless again.

The reason I like Neon Genesis Evangelion so much is because this is the only time Asuka is Soryu. This wretchedly human, incredible character.

Asuka the concept appears in other media, yes. But in the Rebuilds she is Shikinami and stripped of all Soryu-defining traits, another character entirely.

Soryu the surname appears in a few other spin-offs, yes, but then none of the intensity of the original series survives to make her past trauma, her struggles, her best qualities shine like they did in NGE. The context changes her character, if not her name.

The Asuka Langley Soryu, in all her glory and conflict, exists only within the confinement of 19 episodes and a movie. None of the other iterations of Asuka are like her. The first, the original. She’s the beating heart of NGE.

So many Batman stories start with Alfred allready fully a part of Bruce’s life and Batmans support system, knowing his identity and such.

But for once I really want to see a story where after Bruce leaves on his travels, instead of just moping around in a empty mansion Alfred treats himself to an early sunny retirement abroad, til years later he hears on the news about some mythical vigilante in his old home city Gotham

Because of course only that wretched place could have such a thing.

Everyone thinks it’s some kind of cryptid but Alfred is practical enough to deduce it’s some kind of rich idiot taking the law into his own hands.

Then a image shows up on the news broadcast, one of the few clear pictures anyone can get of this ‘Bat-man’, this black costumed Dracula looking being, cape and all.

And suddenly Alfreds mind is transported to a decade ago, watching the young boy he deeply cared for, lost and angry, scribbling drawings of hundreds of bats and himself as a bat-like demon, muttering to himself about a oath of vengeance and how he ‘shall become a bat’…

”Oh Christ, that’s MY rich idiot!”

That same evening Alfred is on the first flight back to Gotham, busts down Wayne Manors doors and forces his way into the Bat-Cave, patches up a very bloody, very confused Bruce and promptly asserts himself as once again Bruce’s Butler, as well as The Batman’s secret ally.

This disability pride month, let’s talk more about the fact that even invisibly disabled people cannot work full time jobs. Let’s talk about how job hunting is a fucking nightmare, how people expect us to be able to work if we’re able to stand at all, how we’re told we’re not qualified for jobs that would be lighter on us physically but the part-time retail position down the road would “love” to have you until you have that job and you’re calling out more than once a month. Let’s talk about how remote work isn’t always an option, how difficult it even is to find remote work, how classist remote work tends to be. When I say “give disabled people enough money to live, zero required qualifiers, zero questions asked,” I mean it. Yes, even they can “technically” work. Capitalism has poisoned society into treating its members like cogs in a machine, and if one isn’t spinning, the immediate reaction is to throw it out.
