I noticed that rei sure always takes his chance for pot shots at kuya, like u hate him so much but 9/10 times he will always talk shit to him if he's there lol even just off the cuff out of nowhere. But they can get along too....of it's to mess with someone else lol. Like hanging up on dandan or making fun of Quincy via betting on him. Can't stand that old fucker but who else can he be this catty with lol....love hate relationship. I think it goes both ways. Similar in ways that's both refreshing and obnoxious. Doesn't necessarily wants the other to disappear forever form their lives but also fuck that guy I hope he dies and I'll do it myself lmao you know. As funny as it is seeing them talk shit I wanna see more times where they combine their powers to torment someone else lol

Sudden idea hit me like a truck. If rin was created as a baby too like eiden and Huey couldn't abandon him in the cave (surely he wouldn't...surely....)

Huey using the last of his strength to drop off little baby rin at the mansion before hobbling back to go into a coma in his cave in peace. He probably wouldn't leave a note but it would be so funny if he did. "Watch over him. Don't look for me'. Did Huey have a love child and abandon him on a front porch like a cliche play!?!! Master Huey come back and get your kid!!!

I wonder if they'd really think that this is Huey's son. Huey is still "alive" so they wouldn't think he's Huey, so this is the only other option. Is that why he left?! Hopefully he'll be back soon he would t just leave his kid (and them) right...right....

In the mean time aster and morvay would raise rin properly, he's master Huey's precious son and they'll make sure he's taken care of for when Huey comes back just like with the mansion. As rin grows up aster and morvay keep telling him Huey will be back any day now, he does this sometimes.....but rin still has all of Huey's knowledge and memories so he knows that's not happening. Keeps quiet about what he knows because it will just hurt big bro aster and morvay....growing up being treated so nicely by them and the lingering affection he has by way of Huey I think he'd be attached to them. The less they know the better

Rin has to be a little weird and creepy no matter what, gets so attached and obsessive about the people he cares about but this rin is considerably better adjusted lol. Any weirdness well, master Huey had his eccentricities too like father like son!! I think this rin would be pissed about eiden appearing. He can't help but love him but he's also angry, he's supposed to be fulfilling their dream why is he here, and he's taking all of aster and morvay's attention!! Would a Rin who grew up relatively normally and without the mirror still be super yandere obsessed with eiden....maybe in some way but not as much, I think. Battling with love and hatred lol. Get out of my mansion, go home!! But he can't act hostile bc it will make aster and morvay upset lol. Eiden always feeling a cold glare from behind him that vanishes when he turns around.

I a comic a long time ago about kuya getting pissed that Huey had kids with someone other than him lol. I guess that could be canon in this au. And he's even purple what the hell Huey. This was a personal attack. Kuya being shitty about it but also can't help but feel a little tug of like....well if that's Huey's kit....in this au if kuya found out about rin when he was still a baby lol...would he try and take him...aster having to ban kuya from the mansion for kidnapping....but rin knows Huey had affection for kuya. He won't go with him he wants to stay with aster and morvay but well, he can humor him a little bit. Aaa kuya would be so mad at being tricked when the truth comes out lmaoo

While I do like reigaru in the garu/karu will win rei over eventually once he gets over that guilt

I honestly think a interesting messier path if that doesn’t ever happen but the whole Garu/karu are gonna keep trying harder and harder while till rei openly rejects them, which he won’t because he doesn’t want to break there art but is not interested also not putting up any proper boundaries

and this in turn puts garu/karu no matter how unintentionally in a worse position because now it makes every escalation seem lowkey creepy like your watching someone about to get hit by a car but can’t stop (the car being Garu)

which then ends in either someone finally intervening and them talking it over before someone got hurt mentally or emotionally

or if you really want to go a sad route Garu does “succeed” in getting together with rei but rei is slowly and steadily dying a little inside and things just collapse

Grimdark reiaru path unlocked lol...that does sound really interesting, and I do like guilt ridden rei but I also want there to be a light at the end of the tunnel for them since they both already suffered so much, im a sucker for happy endings 🙂‍↕️ but I think it wouldnt quite get that far since Garu is pretty sensitive, Im sure he'd notice if rei honestly wasn't interested and was unhappy about it even if he tried to hide it. For me I like it more for rei to be grappling with an honest attraction to Garukaru that distresses him on so many different levels, his toxic relationship to sex, his guilt towards them, wanting to keep them "pure" from something that's caused him a lot of pain in his past...
