Yoga for Menstruation

This next section calms the brain and soothes the abdomen. This is Paschimottanasana with a horizontal bolster. The arms and head rest on the bolster in this relaxed forward fold. Sitting on a folded blanket can ease the demands of the hamstring stretch, as well as adding even more height to the bolster. Resting the weight of the head is essential in this version of the pose, and allows the back of the neck and entire occipital region to release and relax. This eases the mind and encourages inward attention. Stay and breathe.
