DO YOU KNOW. . .?
If you are a fan of Issay, you know perfectly well what place was his escape from reality. The beach in Numazu was where he stayed when things were bad at home and he didn't want to be around his father. During an interview in 2015, Issay mentioned that when he returns to his hometown, he goes there.
"My own pain, for example. It’s a city where a river flows. When I go there, I can check on the pain that I felt from back then. Whatever the time, whether midnight or midday, I’d go to the beach and zone out while staring at the sea, and check on my past self who used to watch the sea like this too. I check and make sure that the person I was back then is still in this body of mine."
Whenever I read it, I get sad. No matter how wise and strong he was, it hurts to know that his pain was still with him, even when he was an adult.
Der Zibet's album Period as well as BUCK-TICK's Shibuya Hariappa (including bonus live cd) and the audio files of the Naisho no Bara no Shita tour have been added to my drive (edited for file and audio consistency)
Here is a link specifically to the new Der Zibet album:
But remember, if you can, do support the artists by buying the albums/singles/tours :)
These links also exist in my open JRock Discord
Check out the J-Rock Discord community on Discord - hang out with 36 other members and enjoy free voice and text chat.
(I did not include the bonus tracks on Period as those are just the reD biteZ single, which can also be found in the drive)
I honestly don't remember from where I got this photos, but his smile is so beautiful, so I decided to post it here.

In my mind, young Maimu looks like this
I feel the need to talk about this song 'Chrysis' by Morrie, because I really think it's so underrated.
I love the atmosphere of this song, his voice is incredibly beautiful and deep.
*This post could be very long talking about this song, but I am going to mention just a few things without going into too much detail (for now).
I have to start by saying that Morrie is a poetic and deeply literary artist. By reading his lyrics, you can feel the weight they carry far beyond what you might catch on a first listen or superficial reading. His lyrics are also full of symbolism, so they take time to understand.
Those who truly enter his world can easily be moved by it.
In this song Morrie talk about 蜘蛛の糸, it seems to be referring to Ryunosuke Akutagawa's Buddhist tale: A soul in hell tries to save himself by clinging to a spider thread sent by Buddha, but when others begin to climb up too the thread breaks and he falls back into hell.
Here's the full story translated:
Hi readers! I’m really excited about today’s post. Part of my goal this year was to translate five Japanese short stories, and today I’m sha
So It looks that the song talks about a soul who feels a deep loneliness (also emotionally) and its internal struggle between light and darkness, connected by a fragile thread of hope, the 蜘蛛の糸 (spider's thread). Very existentialist in Morrie's style ♡
Ps: I can't help but think of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Obviously it's not the same, as one is more existentialist and the other more romantic, but I feel a special attraction for that kind of stories with tragic and heartbreaking ending 🤭

Decadence and Its Immortality
Text by Ishii Eriko Photographs by Kasai Chikashi Hair & Make-up by Araki Hisako (Octbre), Okazai Kaori (Fat’s Berry) Styling by Kobayashi Junko (12 Jun 2006)
Well, I don’t suppose you need any explanation. I hope you’d read each and every word of this interview carefully and thoroughly. Transitioning from DEAD END to a solo artist, the claws of solitude have left scars on Morrie and after 11 years, he has returned to the scene with Creature Creature. Today, it’s him and Sakurai Atsushi of BUCK-TICK; a band who has just embarked on its 21st year of activity. The God of Gothic and the Demon King of Decadence. This is where they meet.

I think my desire to immortalise myself is very strong (Morrie) My fascination for it gets turned into song. I can sing about it numerous times, over and over (Sakurai)
