anybody upset with the conclusion of my hero academia specifically, how izuku didn’t attain the glory, fame or fortune don’t understand what horikoshi’s intentions and display of heroism was truly about. Deku is supposed to show the content of what a true hero is supposed to be, and yes!!!! he deserves all the fame and the popularity and merch but it isn’t what he signed up for, it isn’t what he expected when he became a hero and it wasn’t a requirement for that matter. even without all of this recognition izuku stays optimistic and is satisfied with what he contributed into letting Japan see another day!!! which is why it is so important that you don’t miss interpret the story. take what Josh Keatons Spiderman said, as he said it best “if i wanted all the glory i wouldn’t wear a mask” and that is why characters like Spiderman, Superman and now Deku are regarded to be the greatest because the display of hope and indomitable human spirit is admirable. they are a part of society that so easily forgotten, that is shut off, the part that shows you people can do things out of sheer goodness without expecting anything back simply because they want to.

This. Of course as an Izuku fan I wish he got recognition for his part in saving the whole world (plus his other fights) but this was done for a reason. It’s heartbreaking that Izuku couldn’t be a hero for so many years…and then it’s heartwarming what was done for him…it’s an ending I can get behind. So much left open to work with. All the world to still play with and write about. It’s sad but I feel the hope!

Hi everyone, this is my last semester of uni, and one of my final projects to be able to graduate is to write a scientific paper. I'm writing an article about adult fans of children's animation, specifically Miraculous Ladybug. My goal is to understand what makes adults (like us) want to join fandoms centered around shows aimed primarily at children, and to do that I'd love to hear directly from the source!
