she knows for a fact that the hallway outside of the girls’ restroom is not the appropriate place for someone to be lurking. even if he looks like his attention is elsewhere --------- away from the girls passing in and out, instead distanced to some unknown place --------- the fact that he stands directly across from the door is UNNERVING. is he waiting for someone --------- his girlfriend ? ( how lewd, trying to catch her coming out of the showers ... )

kamiki knows that none of the other girls will attempt to say anything, despite how uncomfortable they may be. they’re too polite to make the mistake of YELLING at him if he’s innocent, and even more fearful that he’s guilty of trying to look. who wants to deal with a pervert by herself ? however, knowing that the task is something that must be done, kamiki is willing to shed the embarrassment, and peek out from behind the door with a glowing red face :

she has to fight back the flinch that accompanies moriyama’s voice. although, under normal circumstances, kamiki wouldn’t be totally disturbed by her dopey tone --------- just annoyed --------- it’s the WHINING that sometimes takes its place that truly pisses her off. when she hears even the slightest mumble or murmur, of something that displeases moriyama, she can’t help but to grit her teeth together in frustration. someone who can easily WHIMPER about her situation, because the demon she faces is too strong for her lame summoning abilities, shouldn’t be in the cram school. 

all the boys in class can leap to help, but kamiki knows the only way for a THICK - SKULLED little girl to learn is to get hurt first. at least it will give her a taste of an exorcist’s reality, if not do the favor of completely deterring her from continuing exwire courses. maybe if she dies now, they won’t have to worry about her in the future ( oh how she would DETEST ever being grouped with moriyama for a mission once she graduated to the exorcist level : it’d ensure her early death in the field ).

unabashedly, kamiki allows her foot to tap against the ground, in a PERSISTENT, impatient rhythm. her arms are crossed over her chest and her chin is lifted high, despite the fact that she already stands taller than the desk before her. but nonetheless, she wants to make her annoyance known ( often, she doesn’t even have to put forth the effort ; her personality lends itself to easy irritation by indecisive, stupid, and SLOW people ). she has her eye on that book, and has been waiting far too long to consider ‘ no ’ for an answer --------- especially if she cannot walk out of the library with it in hand because someone else held onto it for so long.

kamiki’s fingers twitch, aching to wipe away the tears, to press into her eyes like plugs against the droplets that streak down her skin. she feels HUMILIATED to be seen with a face raw from crying ; but cold water against her cheeks cannot undo the reddening and the puffiness, and drying her face with a bathroom towel before she goes out cannot hide the tears that still build in the corners of her  eyes. --------- even more than crying in public does she hate to be seen by a peer like this, and in some sick way, she supposes it must be karma for all the times she’d lacked care for others. even okumura - kun, with a naive sense of compassion ( but the only one who was willing to help despite all her MISTAKES ), she had marked off as just another idiot ... but now, it seems like he is the only person she can turn to for advice.

she doesn’t let herself scrub at her eyes, knowing that brushing away the tears will only give way to more behind them. so stricken with grief and sadness is she that she can’t even lift her hand. the strain of moving in such a weak physical state forces her to hold still, her head bowed to the ground. when she dares try to lift her eyes, her petite frame looks wobbly, like she might collapse over her feet. to calm the storm of emotions within her ( the sadness, anger, fear, and want for isolation ), she fists the fabric of her sweater, balling it up tightly --------- she had done that to her body, before, until the doctors told her she shouldn’t be BRUISING herself like that. it’d only been a few days since she was released from the clinic ; they wouldn’t want to see her back so soon, if back at all ... but she needed to get out, at least for today, to pay her final respects.

‘ o - okumura - kun ... what ... what kind of flowers do you take to a funeral ? ’
