I love how this is written like a callout post when it's about a literal god, the god of wealth, who owns all the wealth and that's like part of his office as a god; like all the money is his all of it. You can't like separate that out from him. And the 'financially abused poor person' is actually the goddess of spring, who is a goddess and therefore from the same class as him. He does not financially abuse her, btw. Y'all don't even know what that means.

And then the dude on the right is a demon from xtian mythology, who, in the show--the show which is about how everyone is a fuckup and yet is trying real hard, it's like a gay supernatural version of Venture Bros that way--literally figured out he was having feelings after making this 'no strings this is transactional sex work' arrangement with let me be clear a whole-ass adult from a lower class, and immediately turns around and ends the financial dependence part of the relationship because he doesn't want to be abusive so he, you know, takes steps to make sure the power dynamic IS NOT. And at no point does he financially abuse this lower class person--who, let's be clear, did not at any point think it was anything but a business relationship where he was being paid for sex work in barter.

Y'all have brainweasels. My god. Like, fr I have been financially abused. Neither of these character at any point do that to ANYONE in their stories. You know who does? Fucking Demeter. Fucking Mammon. There IS financial abuse going on but y'all don't even watch/read these stories y'all just bullshitting. It does not escape me that one of these stories is pagan and about pagan gods, and one of them is a show made by queers about queer characters about queer stories and has the best queer rep we have ever had in our lives. The fact that y'all are on a moral crusade against these two stories says a lot more about you than you think. :\ 'critical' in order to be critical you have to have critical thinking about something, which requires reading/watching it. Which y'all haven't done.
