AllSaints and Dazed Vision go to souuuff London with their latest musical offering for series NEW MUSIC CITIES. The set of videos span the globe creating cinematic portraits of cities and exploring the music scenes within them. Each instalment features pioneering musical figures with a connection to their respective city: punk innovator Richard Hell in New York, South London native Roots Manuva on his home soil, Swedish singer-songwriter José GonzÔlez in Gothenburg and international DJ Gilles Peterson in Tokyo.
Episode two (above) delves into South Londonās music scene, featuring breakout star Katy B, the subversive Micachu, young soul vocalist Tawiah, multitasking producer and singer-songwriter Kwes and, live from a rooftop, local electronic music duo Mount Kimbie.
Future episodes showcase Gothenburg and Tokyo, mixing well- known international artists and regional cultural catalysts including Frida Sundemo, The Embassy, Boat Club, Diiv, Emufucka, Sapphire Slows and Nissamondai.Ā
