JEALOUSY-MILO
You helped Milo out of trouble with a few bullies; as you always did.
However, you were feeling a bit off because— doing this so many times, yet yielding different results with… sometimes unsatisfactory qualities to each product— it got tiresome doing the same thing over and over.
This time, you didn’t feel like training this Milo.
You left. You gave your long, heroic spiel, inciting Milo's usual affection and clinginess; and you left.
What would this Milo do for you without having gone to the batting ranges or the party?
As with any other run, you kept with your routine in college. But, you had noticed a long time ago that this routine of yours wasn’t the same on its outer layer.
Milo had a crush on you without a doubt. Even before you had saved him (and soundly left him), he had watched you from afar in admiration.
Now, his previous gaze was gone. You noticed lately that he’s been absent from every class. It was absurd that a top student would skip every opportunity. Did stranding Milo push him to death?
With an unreadable expression, you calmly soothed a response out of the teachers. “Milo is taking home-school. He is still enrolled, but all of his classes are remote.”
Ah, home-schooled was it? Strange, you would have thought that Milos— no matter the color of their hearts— would want to cling to you.
A flicker of color came into your eyes; could this be a variant of…
Your hand thoughtfully rubbed across the walls; the teacher looked at you but carefully peered away.
