Reblogging 2018 is not something I wanted to do but I swear the only thing that ever seemed to come between these two in recent years was Cartman. Kyle can’t control his anger around him. In recent years, the few times when they were alone together, they were genuinely happy. When do you ever see Kyle smile and laugh in recent years? Oh yeah, Season 22 when he was throwing a football with Stan or enjoying a joke with Stan at the bike parade.

Day 7 - Free Day. Just wanted to stop and acknowledge small moments like this. Seeing these two happy, even for a few seconds makes me happy. And if sharing images of moments like this makes anybody else happy, it’s more than worth it.

Style Week - Day 5 - Moments “I Need You” This whole episode kind of acted like a love story of sorts. “I Remember You” by Skid Row was kind of fitting.

Style Week Day 2 - Headcanon

Never thought I’d do this but here goes. It’s been shown that Kyle has a way to simply show up in Stan’s room while he’s sleeping and Stan is completely unphased by it. I could see Kyle sneaking out at night to visit Stan and make out with him or whatever. It’s not really that good of a headcanon but it seems like a reasonable possibility.

I’m very happy that Mr. Mackey told Kenny what we all know. That he is smart and compassionate. He may be poor and a complete pervert to a lot of people, but in reality he is by far one of the sweetest, selfless, most caring people in South Park. He puts other people (His sister, his friends) before himself. Those are my thoughts on Kenny.

I consider this group the couples of Season 21.

In season 22 I want Stan and Kyle to acknowledge that they’ve drifted apart, and that their friendship has fundamentally changed. But I don’t want them to just go back to being Super Best Friends. I would rather see them explore the new dynamic they have, learning that drifting apart is part of growing up, develop new relationships with other characters, and establish their current relationship with each other as still being an important, valid thing. Their friendship isn’t dead, it’s just changed and matured, and it would be interesting to see them explore that, rather than just go backwards. The fact that they persist and evolve as time changes things is arguably the real strength of their relationship, over the codependency of simply being SBFs. Like, give me an episode where they come to the realisation that they can’t just go back to what they had, but they can move forward together to create something new and equally special. That would be 👌🏽

I don’t think really drifted. They’re just becoming background characters while their parents (Randy, Gerald) and Cartman, Butters are front and center and only used as needed. They’re rarely not seen together in common background situations (Assemblies, singing in “Put It Down”, biking, searching for Ike, walking down the hall etc). I had plenty of material to post here last season.

Figured I’d bring up Ginger Cow. Stan went above and beyond trying to stop what Kyle was doing. The thing here, Kenny went along to help without any complaints like he had in Cherokee Hair Tampons. I’m thinking Kenny understands something that he didn’t before, and has grown into a more caring friend, and person overall.
