Anthy has all of this resentment for Utena and nowhere to put it because if she shows even an inch of empathy or forgiveness to Utena, then it means her brother is wrong and she is wrong and her love for her brother is wrong, so she pushes it all down and bundles Utena further down the path to destruction

She loathes Utena for stupidly believing anyone could stray from the narrative. She also loathes Utena for failing to stray from the narrative.

She loathes Utena for being so close to being Right and Just but falling just short of it by falling into the trap of being groomed by Akio. She loathes Utena for not falling for Akio immediately and doing as she's told.
