In our current day, it is hard to ignore the surge of antisemitism and anti Jewish behaviors. We must recognise the similarities between now and the times in history where antisemitism has risen on such a wide scale, and realise that while not always actively systematically oppressing Jews like during the Middle Ages/Nazi Germany, antisemitism has always been and still is alive. Antisemitism is not merely an individual issue, but that of one culturally ingrained into a Eurocentric society. Culturally ingrained antisemitism is what lead up to and escalated these attacks, instances of oppression, pograms, and genocides of Jewish people. If we enable this (which we currently are) it will only lead to more oppression, demonisation, and being used as a group to push blame onto for societies problems. As Jews, we need to realise that we have all went through similar struggles and that we need to work together as a collective to overcome these struggles. The individualistic nature of capitalism and right wing ideology is counterintuitive to the liberation of our people. We are all victim to a world that has been ingrained by antisemitism, and thus, must stay together as a community, especially in times of which the alt right are posing as a threat. Culturally ingrained antisemitism cannot simply be dismantled, it must be destroyed with force. As Jews and Jewish allies, it is important that we protect ourselves and our people by any means necessary. We must protect and restore our culture that has been stripped from us for the last 2,000 years. Deassimilate.

I’m sorry, but when you have leading experts like Erik K. Ward and Mark Potok, who have devoted their lives to understanding and dismantling white supremacist movements, explicitly saying that anti-Semitism is the underlying cancerous ideology that fuels white nationalism, there is literally no reason to believe that anybody who won’t loudly, and openly condemn anti-Semitism and make Jewish voices an active part of their platform, is actually serious about ending white supremacy.
These performative social justice movements that delight in their quarterly anti-Semitic scandals for which they never apologise or learn from, are absolute bullshit, and will never be successful so long as they wilfully ignore the big picture.
They’re like those self-righteous pet owners who claim to be devout animal lovers, yet they keep fido and fluffy on vegan diets, because they have so profoundly failed to understand reality that they actually come to work against their own supposed ideology.
You cannot love animals so much that you torture your cat through malnourishment, and you cannot claim to hate white supremacists whilst also, not just refusing to acknowledge how much of the movement is fuelled by anti-Jewish hatred, but also by contributing to that hatred through refusals to condemn those who espouse it.
It’s like going out to battle the Hydra but never making an effort to cut off the one immortal head that enables the rest to grow back. Yeah, you’re out there fighting, but you’re going to be at it for a long fucking time without any results, and if you haven’t figured that out yet, with all the evidence handed to you on a silver platter by people who done the work, then I have no goddamn time for you or your fake bullshit activism.

“Evangelicals are the primary supporters of Israel in the US. Not Jews.
Why?
The Protestant fundamentalist theory of dispensationalism views history as a series of seven events. So far six have already occurred.
1) The era of innocence. before Adams fall
2) The era of consciousness. from Adam to Noah.
3) The era of government: From Noah to Abraham.
4) The era of patriarchy: From Abraham to Moses
5) The era of Mosaic law: From Moses to Jesus
6) The era of grace: From Jesus to today
And the seventh and final dispensation will be millennium, an earthly paradise. The millennium requires God‘s chosen people, the Jews, to all be living together in Israel. It is there, supposedly, that they will rebuild the temple. Then, as described in the book of revelations, Armageddon will take place and in the process 2/3 of Jews will die and the other 1/3 will accept Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus will then return to earth and will institute the millennium, beginning a thousand year reign over earth as king.
The Statistics
Results from a 2017 on evangelical supporters of Israel indicated that of the 67% of evangelicals with a ‘positive perception of Israel’:
[image description a bar graph with marks at 25%, 50%, and 75% with the following statistics.
1) the Bible says g-d gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people. 63%
2) Israel is the historical Jewish homeland. 60%
3) Israel is important for fulfilling biblical prophesy. 52%
4) the creation of Israel show that we are getting closer to the return of Jesus Christ. 80%
What’s scary about this?
The majority of Christian support for Zionism and Israel is because it will supposedly trigger the return of Christ. in order for this to happen requires for a) all diasporic Jews to return to the land, therefore displacing Palestinians and b) Jews to be either proselytized and abandon their own religion for Christ or die.
What’s even scarier?
Despite Israel claiming to represent and protect all Jews, it prioritizes the support of Evangelicals.
[image description, a screenshot of a paragraph reading:
Former Israeli ambassador to the US Ron Dermer suggested Sunday that Israel should prioritize the “passionate and unequivocal” support of evangelical Christians over that of American Jews, who he said are “disproportionately among our critics.”
“People have to understand that the backbone of Israel’s support in the United States is the evangelical Christians. It’s true because of numbers and also because of their passionate and unequivocal support for Israel,” Dermer said in an onstage interview at a conference organized by Makor Rishon, a news outlet affiliated with the national religious community]
This represents not just the goals of Dermer but of Israel. He just ended a seven year term in January [transcription note: January 2021] as the ambassador of Israel in Washington. He was known as the ears and brain of Netanyahu. His words are representing much more than just his thoughts.

i saw @/princessmlohkia post this on twitter and it really resonated with me so i thought i’d reshare it on here and share some of my own thoughts about it - the only reason someone should be ‘silent’ right now is because they are amplifying palestinian voices instead of speaking over them. point blank. to stay silent is to be compliant in the occupation of palestine. every single person reading this has helped contribute to the occupation in one way or another, intentionally or not. your tax money has helped to fund israel’s military. the ice cream you purchased helped to fund the settlements. i can go on and on. as we see zionists attempt to tone police and silence palestinians, abort any mainstream news from reporting on this, distort the situation, and force non palestinian allies to stay quiet by using accusations of antisemitism, we must continue to not just talk but yell, shout, and scream from our rooftops about the injustices occurring. and a note specifically for my fellow american jews: as long as israel is doing this in our name for our supposed protection, it’s our obligation to protest against it in every way that we can.
furthermore, of course it’s important to be educated when you’re posting about things but we’re talking about reposting literal videos of children in gaza scared for their lives, of israeli settlers attempting to lynch palestinians, of destroyed buildings that were bombed. there needs no ‘context’ for these things. there needs no ‘sources’. it’s literal video evidence of what’s happening. there are no excuses here.
lastly, you have absolutely no right to request for nuance and for people to acknowledge ‘both sides’ when you fail to acknowledge any of the atrocities we’re seeing right now. the zionists telling you to stay quiet about palestine hadn’t said a single word themselves about sheikh jarrah or palestine UNTIL the rockets from hamas started. and even then, it was only to say that israel has a right to protect itself against them. so tldr, don’t you dare believe for even a second that you’re guilt free from what’s happening. you have a responsibility to keep speaking up and if you aren’t, you’re complicit.
what’s hitting particularly hard about ruth bader ginsburg’s death is that today is also rosh hashana - the jewish new year. today was supposed to be dedicated to rejuvenation and welcoming in a sweet new year, and instead, one of the most prominent and influential people in our community is gone. allow jewish people to mourn her death without bringing in whether or not you agree with her decisions. at least not on one of our holiest days. and don’t speak over jewish people when we tell you that you’re honoring her death disrespectfully. we don’t say rest in peace. we don’t put flowers on graves. we don’t sing songs about salvation. it doesn’t matter your intentions.
if you’ve been on instagram or twitter in the last day, you may have seen a post floating around claiming that the death count of uighur muslims in china has passed that of jewish people in the holocaust. it then goes on to claim that everyone is silent. were people not also silent during the holocaust? oh yes they were.
and the only reason people aren’t silent about the holocaust today is because they’re able to use it as a measurement tool to quantify other forms of oppression. trust me, it’s not because they care about antisemitism or anti romani sentiment, if so, they would be condemning the dozens of antisemitic hate crimes that have occurred in the past two weeks alone. but let’s move past that and address that this is literal holocaust denial - intentional or not by claiming more uighurs have died in these concentration camps then jews when there’s less than 1 million uighurs in the camps at highest estimate* (in the camps, not died in them) and over 6 million jews DIED in concentration camps during the holocaust* the fact that this post went viral despite not providing any sources just shows why people need to stop using social media as their primary consumption of news. the posts that get the most attention often go without crediting any sources and instead spreading incredibly dangerous misinformation about a tragedy that still affects jewish and romani people to this day.
however this is nothing new. in fact, it’s constant. the holocaust - where our people were mass murdered - is used daily as a means of comparison and it needs to stop. not only does it minimize both the holocaust and whatever it’s being compared to by making it seem as though one is worse than the other depending on how many people died, but it also brings back trauma for jewish and romani people every single time we have to read it.
and this doesn’t mean we don’t care. in fact, we’re often the most active when advocating against causes like these. however, that doesn’t mean we’re going to stand by idly while the genocide of our people is boxed down into a tool for measurement. stop using our trauma for your comparisons.
