Han Solo, still in Kindergarten, excitedly goes up to his dad after school.
“Dad, Dad! Listen! Dad! I can count to 50 now! Lookit! 1, 3, 5, 7--”
His father cuts him off: “Han! How many times do I have to tell you this? You need to practice your even numbers, not the odd ones. You know those, but you keep skipping over the evens. From now on, never tell me the odds. Only count the even numbers.”
Han looks down, dejected. “2, 4, 6, 8, 10...”
He makes it to 50 without a glitch. His dad smiles proudly and praises his son. Han dances around gleefully, bragging about his success to everyone around. In response, his dad just shakes his head, sighs exasperatedly, and says “You’re doing great, kid, but don’t get cocky.”
