It's that time of year again!
Time to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas again because you can’t just watch it on Halloween. Whoo! Anyone want to come over? I have popcorn and cookie dough.

I love that movie.
The youngest Lanter is here. You can all rejoice now.
Another Lanter?
I have to drain my snake really bad, but I don’t want to get up. Anybody else been there?
Dude, every day.
Jack Collins.
I'd like to start off by saying thank you. Not only for my amazing gifts but for you. I remembered that time we were walking in New York and you saw this in the window. You practically started drooling. I don't know much about guitars, but I will say that if you break this, you're a dead man.
I can't write how I feel for you. You know I've never been one who can express like you can.
Meet me tonight so I can tell you instead of write. You can even take it if you're desperate for proof.
Merry Christmas,
Tessa.
P.S. I checked yes.
Hey... So I know you're really pissed at me, and I get why. I'd be pissed at me too, but I want you to know that I'm sorry, man. It was a dick move and I'm taking the blame for it, none of that blaming it on the alcohol bullshit. You don't have to forgive me, but at least eat the chocolate and feel a little bit better. Merry Christmas Jack. -Evan
Fine. I won’t tell anyone that you have feelings behind your goofiness if you don’t tell anyone that I have a heart under my bitch facade.
I’m sorry it wasn’t much, but I’m glad you liked it anyway.
Deal. Hah.
And it was perfect, Liv. Honestly.
No, you get the hug for the letter I got this morning.
Thank you by the way. That was one of the best presents I think I’ve ever gotten.
Shhh! No walking about spilling that I actually have feelings underneath my stupid behavior.
But I'm glad you liked it, lovely. Your gift was amazing by the way. I already have it up on my wall in my bedroom.
You’re weird.
And for that I get a hug?
I saw someone walk around in a chicken onsie earlier. That was weird.
Merry Christmas Cracker Jack,
I know this gift probably means nothing to you, but it means a lot to me. I didn't have much money to do gifts this year so when I found this picture of us I made you this frame. I know that the saying on it probably doesn't make sense to you, but it's what I've learned from you, Jack. You've taught me that not everything out there is horrible or going to hurt me. That it's possible to still find wonderful things in this world. Like you, you're wonderful and you've taught me that it's possible to not hate myself. You've saved my life to sum it up and I owe you forever for that. You gave me hope to keep going and now I'm crying so I'm going to stop writing. I'm sorry for everything, but I hope you have a great Christmas.
With all my love,
Olivia
Hey Jack!
Merry Christmas!! I thought these guitar picks looked cool and of course a Batman snapback since you will be the next Batdad was nice too.
Hope your Christmas is merrier than ever!
Xoxo,
Ella

The peter pan style collar a very new thing to her but she did admire the shade of green. Although she would never tell her, Tessa mother did have very nice clothes.
Jack watched as Tessa dropped his hands and quickly scampered to fetch the small bag off her bed. “You know Parker, a lady should never swear,” he said and winked as he walked towards the closet where the mentioned jacket was hanging. Jack looked through the closet and found the blue jacket Tessa wanted.
He turned around when she asked if she really looked okay. “Tessa, you look beautiful. Don’t worry so much,” Jack said and smiled as he walked across the room towards where Tessa was standing. The outfit she was wearing was quite different from what she usually wore but Tessa could rock off any outfit, he realized. She could have worn a black garbage bag and made it look good.
“Come on, we need to go,” he said as he walked forward and grabbed Tessa’s hand pulling her towards the front door. He looked at Tessa and smiled as he intertwined their fingers together. The feeling of her skin against his made his head spin. "Remember when you went on that date back in New York? When you ditched the boy after ten minutes? I really hope you won't do that to me."

"I look like Tessa, just more effort went into looking like me tonight." A laugh escaped her lips as she brushed her hands over his wrists and sat both her hands in his, placing a small kiss on his lips. "What’s the plan, darl’?"
Jack smiled as he watched her smell one of the flowers. “You’re very welcome Parker,” he responded and chuckled as he noticed how her pale cheeks were bright pink now. It was as if she was blushing all the time and that made her, in Jack’s eyes, that much cuter.
He shrugged. “Like I have said numerous times, you always look beautiful, just tonight, I don’t know, you look… Different. Good different though,” he rambled on and felt like hitting himself over the head. Stop fucking talking you idiot; he told himself. “Um…” he mumbled and rubbed his hands together awkwardly.
When she sat both of her hands in his, placing a small kiss on his lips, Jack had been a little surprised to say the least. He had missed Tessa’s lips against his and he didn’t want the kiss to ever stop so when she pulled back and away, he couldn’t help the whimper that left the his lips.
“Uh, well, I was thinking we could get something to eat first? We got a table downtown reserved actually and we need to hurry or we’re going to be late,” he said and grinned at Tessa, excited to finally show her how much he had worked on this date to make it perfect. The night had only just begun.
I'm back. Passed out earlier. Like, literally. ugh. feeling better now. x

Gently inspecting her eye for a moment, she tried to calm it down as it approached the time that Jack was meant to arrive, although he hardly ever arrived on time. The airport, Tessa realised she hadn’t noticed his punctuality. Tessa unlocked her door, knowing that they weren’t the kind of people who knocked before coming into the others room, and returned the the mirror, trying as hard she she could to make the redness fade.
Jack walked up to Tessa’s door. He stood in front of it and licked his lips nervously as he put his hand on the handle, opening the door before entering. “Tessa?” he said her name, and even just her name gave him shivers down his spine. He closed the door and coughed a little, covering his mouth with the help of his forearm.
That’s when he noticed Tessa stand by the mirror and she looked, as always, breathtakingly gorgeous. “Hey,” he said and licked his lips awkwardly as he stood in the room with the flowers in his hands. “Um, I got you these,” he said and handed the bouquet with sunflowers to her. His voice shook and he knew he sounded stupid.
“You look… Wow,” he said, completely lost for words as his eyes rested on her body. He swallowed and lifted his head, locking eyes with Tessa. He didn't know what to do all of the sudden. Should he hug her? Should he kiss her? Kiss her cheek? This was all so new, confusing and really terrifying.

Things between Jack and Tessa had lately been a complete and utter disaster and Jack knew he was mostly to blame. The two had talked, or at least tried to, and Jack had taken Tessa’s words as if she didn’t want him. Therefore, he went and got with Hannah, an innocent bystander if you could call it that. Jack felt bad for using Hannah like that, especially because of how Tessa had reacted. Jack hadn’t said anything to Tessa about it but he had heard rumors about what had happened.
Then they had the biggest fight in their friendship history, where hurtful words got thrown around as if they were sheets between two lovers. Jack regretted each and every one of things he had said, simply because he didn’t mean it. Not one bit. But he knew that he would have trouble getting Tessa’s trust back especially because of how harsh the words had been.
When Tessa had hooked up with Evan and Olivia at the dance, Jack got to experience first hand what it felt to have his heart broken. It felt as if someone used his heart as a dart board, throwing arrows at it and every now and then missing to make the agony worse. They didn’t talk for a day or two and not once did Tessa’s face leave Jack’s head, slowly turning him crazy.
Jack knew that Tessa was the only one for him and he was determined to prove it to her so he asked her out on a date, hoping she would accept which she surprisingly did. Jack had been working on the deeds for the past couple of days and he couldn’t believe he was finally going to put them into life. He stood in front of the mirror in his room, his hands were sweaty as he looked at his reflection. He looked surprisingly well, considering the fact that he hadn’t gotten stoned or drunk in days. When Jack had promised Tessa he could tone it down, he was being 100% honest. He ran his fingers through his black and blonde hair, fixing it so it would stick up a little. “Here goes nothing,” he mumbled nervously to himself as he grabbed the keys and the sunflowers off the counter before heading out of the room and towards the red-head who had taken his head prisoner back in New York.
