âIâm attempting the art of painting. I watched all of Bob Ross last night and now Iâm inspired. Itâs not turning out so great though.â
âLooks pretty good to me. Donât take my word for it though, I have no creative bone in my body. But you... paint? Or is this just another one of those experimental phases?â

ââOh come on, stupid machine!ââ They groaned rather at them self than anyone else, as they were about to break the record on one of the old pinball machines, when the left button stopped working and let the last ball they had through the supposed to be closed gate. ââFucks sake! Stupid youth of these days, they ruin everything that used to be fun for our golden teenage years,ââ the redhead gave the machine a kick when it practically rubbed in their face they had lost the game and barely received any tickets, that easily couldâve been tripled if the button hadnât been ruined. Taking a deep sigh after stashing the tickets into their bra, they noticed a cute guy entering the arcade hall. Finally someone who looked like he could match their level of competition. ââYou there,ââ they came over, heels making their presence noticeable, ââyou up for some racing or DDR? I could use some company and youâre exactly what Iâve been looking for,ââ the sweet invite dripped off their voice, a smile gracing their lips as they smoothly showed some dollars they had stashed at their goodies together with the tickets. ââFirst roundâs my treat.ââ
@jackhennigan
Itâs been a while since went to the arcade, what with the number of skaters and events increasing this time of year. Jack had the day off, for once, and besides his couch, there was only one place heâd rather waste his time in. He parked his bike and headed inside the arcade hall, cracking his knuckles, but was faced with a redhead demanding his attention instead. He raised his eyebrows, a little surprised from the stash of tickets, goodies and... is that cash? Jack laughed at their brazenness, unsure whether or not they were flirting with him or if they genuinely needed someone to play DDR with. Or both? Jack wondered, raising his hands. âHey, at least buy me a drink first,â he teased. Jack put his hands in his pockets and smirked at them, a challenge in his eyes. âAre you really going to pay for a game youâre going to lose in? Because Iâm definitely going to win this.â
âHey â hey, are you there? Can you please help me out. I think this doorâs stuck. Please help. Or get someone that can help?â Will poked whatever would fit through the small opening of the door, unable to see who had walked past.Â
Jack turned his head towards the noise and frowned, looking behind him expecting someone else. âMe?â He slowly approached the voice and peeked through the small opening before trying to pry open the door. âWow, okay... dude? Youâre going to have to call maintenance, or something.âÂ
âI need a drink,â the blonde declared, voice ringing with irritation as she resisted the urge to bury her head in her hands. "Preferably before I take it upon myself to hunt down and murder the stupid fuck whoâs been playing Creed for the last hour and a half.â Dodger called out, just in case the guilty party were within earshot. âYour drink is on me if you can make it stop. Unless Iâve gone to hell and this is my real punishment.â She offered with a tight-lipped smile.
Jack had been chatting with the other regulars when he heard someone yelling death threats from across the room. He raised a brow and chuckled, muttering a quick excuse me before reaching the bar, sitting beside the angry blonde. âSomeone give her a drink. Please.â He told the bartender before crossing his arms and facing her. âDonât threaten the DJ, miss. Youâre going to get more Creed with that attitude. Trust me.â
âYou got something on your, erââ Marshall trailed off, his fingers motioning to his cheek to indicate whatever clung on to the other personâs face, âYou might want to get that before you keep walking around in public like that.â
âToo late for that. Now I know what everyoneâs been looking at while I was walking... and I do not want to know what it is.â
 The weather had been horrible to any person who disliked a hefty amount of snow. Most people hadnât dared come out as the snow storm hit, unless you were of the unfortunate oneâs who happened to already be out. Leni had been one of the misfortuned. They sat in an aroma of coffee at a local Sip Cafe trying to block out the frantic chatter around them. It was going to be awhile before they would depart with the weather brewing outside. Their driver had been stuck, and they hadnât found the motivation to trek through the white out to try and catch the local commute. âPardon?â Leniâs shoulders tensed sensing someone had said something to them, but not quite catching what it was. Pale eyes shifting, they looked over apologetically. ââsorry. Itâs hard to pay any focus on anything when you have kids running around, and people becoming frantic.ââ It wasnât true, Leni was highly observant, they just chose to block out the world around them because of an anti social virtue.Â
Jack wanted peace, quiet, and maybe a free cupcake from the girl who mans the counter every morning. It wasnât much, but after a bad day at the rink and seeing the amount of snow in the street, Jack would give anything for a good cup of coffee... but the grumpy 40 year old barista just glared at him, and the whining from the patrons at the other side of the cafe increased the longer he stayed in there. âWould I die of hypothermia if I run out there right now?â Jack asked the person to his right, shaking his head as he watched the snow fall through the window. When they tensed up, he faced them and smirked. âNah, itâs nothing. Hope your kids donât mind staying for long thought, youâre going to have to endure the badgering later.â He motioned towards the snow outside, and chuckled. âI mean, Iâd love to get out of here. Canât imagine what theyâre thinking.â
âWhen I was walking home from class today, I saw a kid in the back seat of a van, eating mac and cheese ââ and Iâve never been more jealous of a person. Not only do they get to eat mac and cheese; they get to be driven around and have zero responsibilities. I wouldâve traded places with that kid, any day.â
âStop watching kids eat in public, please. And as much as I love mac and cheese, Iâd rather not go through puberty again. Adulthood it is, then. Without the bills and loans.â
