The way her true self slowly revealed itself post crash. Pre-crash Jackie was upbeat and always painted with a smile (unless she was alone). The only time she smiled post crash was with Shauna, trying to comfort her. Her facade came crashing down and she didn’t have to keep it up anymore. She didn’t need to be anything for anyone but Shauna…until she didn’t have to for Shauna either and after that, all her hope and motivation was lost. She wasn’t built for the wilderness, her heart was too pure. All she knew how to be was a teenage girl. The one that always shows up for people. The team captain. And then that wasn’t enough.
