THE FOOL'S FIVE YEAR JOURNEY - A CYBERPUNK 2077 FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT
Five years ago, you stepped into Night City for the first time. Street Kid. Nomad. Corpo.
Your name was V. And you had some dreams, hell, you had hope to make it in this City of Dreams. What a Fool you were, taking the first innocent steps into your journey. Marked for tragedy, but defying fate.
This is your story, your journey, as the Fool of Night City.
Did you reenter the World enlightened?
Or did the Tower crashing leave you alone... and your journey not yet over?
Next month will be Cyberpunk 2077's five year anniversary, and while the start was bumpy - five years on, we here at NCSkyline want to celebrate that journey with the community. A celebration of every V, whether it's your first, your last. A V that maybe you don't talk about. This event is meant to celebrate the last five years spent with Cyberpunk 2077, and what it means to you. Writing, virtual photography, edits, even memes - how you choose to show your journey is entirely up to you.
Our general theme of the event is following the The Fool's Journey in relation to V and the plot of Cyberpunk 2077. There will be 32 prompts, all through December + January 1st. Each prompt is assigned a Tarot Card to offer further inspiration, though you are by no means required to utilize tarot at all in any of your prompts. In addition, if you feel a different card resonates more with a day's prompt than the one assigned to it - please by all means use that card as inspiration instead!
How you interpret the prompts is entirely up to you. It is after all, your journey. You can do it from the perspective of your V, or perhaps you want to take a more meta approach, and look back on how your V came to be, or the one's that got away. There is no right or wrong way to participate.
We'll be putting out further updates the closer we get to December - but until then, check out the brand new Carrd we've made in anticipation:
The Fool's FiVe Year Journey (please note this is heavily under construction. Links may be broken and such while we finish setting up pages for the full event showcase. As of right now, you can find the rules here, and more information here. Currently we are working on setting up pages to showcase submissions for the event. Please Look Forward To It.)
If you have any questions, or suggestions - we'd love to hear from you! Our inbox is as always, open!
It's been a while since I completed a drawing challenge!! To celebrate, and to reflect, I wanted to make a small review post.
I'm proud that I finished it, but like every time after a big project like that ends, there is also some emptiness along with the "relief". Relief in the sense that, at least for me, as soon as I reach certain milestones within a challenge like this , the eagerness to finish it increases dramatically. If I only manage 3, maybe 5 pieces, I might not finish it altogther. But say I make it to 10, maybe 15 (halfway there!), and then 20, 25, I gotta keep going! It's stressful, but in a positive way? But still, it is stressful to sit down every (other) day to work so consistently and intensely on something (next to working a dayjob and a lot of very stressful medical appointments this month). So yeah, there is also a relief in the sense of having one less obligation, more time again for other endeavours or beloved hobbies that I simply had no time for because I decided I really wanted to pull through.
And yet, like I said, there is also something missing now. A little routine going away that kept me company, and I need a couple days to transition back into my "normal", pre-challenge routines. But also, I don't quite wanna let go of it yet, hence this and maybe a couple more posts - because hey, I have 31 really cool drawings, I have timelapse recordings, there's a story behind each piece, I want to create a little more with it all!
One personal challenge beyond "draw every day" for myself was also to get better at drawing my V - and I think I definitely got a lot better at capturing his face shapes, his hair, stuff like that. And I gathered some interesting stats and insights on my drawing process for these as a whole (thank you, Procreate, for catering to my nerdy statistics needs). On average, I worked on a drawing for 3 hours and 8 minutes. The fastest was 1 hour 12 minutes, the longest was 5 hours and 26 minutes (you might be able to guess which one the fastest was, because it is very simple - but you won't guess which the longest was... hint: it's not the Blue Eyes comic, that took 5 hours and 7 minutes :D).
If I had to pick a fave, man... I really like 27 and 28, because I feel like at that point I had Vince's likeness down so well that it was really fun to play with expressions and different hair/eyes and he'd still look like himself. But I'm also very proud of his Fixer look and the shibari art.
If peeps are interested, I'll put the durations for each piece under the cut :D And here's a little review video, because I couldn't resist:
It's been quiet here, but I haven't been sitting around doing nothing! Over the course of October 2025 I did a 31-day-drawing challenge agai
Lemme know which one is your fave!
Streetkid - 1:55
Glitch - 1:44

Fixer - 3:10
Ripperdoc - 3:52
Maelstrom - 4:35
Cyberpsycho - 1:52

Netrunner - 2:55
Edgerunner - 5:26 (this one took me the longest because I could not for the life of me decide for a pose; I tried so many different things and then went for something very simple because I got very frustrated - the worst when you're almost halfway there with a challenge!!)
Tyger Claws - 3:12
The Mox - 2:08
Rockerboy - 3:03
Blue Eyes - 5:07
Joytoy - 3:51
Militech - 4:01
Choom - 4:39
Solo - 2:36
Voodoo Boys - 4:58
Trauma Team - 2:31
Vehicle - 2:56 (I half traced the bike, half used various reference images - I feel like I'm getting more and more comfortable with drawing tech-y stuff)
Wraiths - 2:44
Celebrity - 3:21 (not counted into the duration is creating the little animation of V ogling Kerry's chest xD I prefer doing that on desktop instead of Procreate, hence no time tracking)
Advertisement - 3:06
Rogue AI - 1:12 (this one was the fastest, because very limited colors and simple background!)
Input - 2:33
Tarot - 2:43
Meaning that overall, completing this challenge took me around 97 hours and 11 minutes- not included editing pictures for posting and all that, or thinking about ideas beforehand, just pure drawing time :D
Lizzie's Bar, some time in the early 2070s ~
From about 2067 to 2072 Vince lived in Kabuki, so he was almost right there when the Mox were founded. In my headcanon he and Jackie often went to Lizzie's Bar in the early days, but after Vince landed his Arasaka job, they didn't go there as much anymore - too many curious eyes and ears when it came to discussing "business". Beside the Totentanz though definitely one of his favourite hangout spots in Night City.
Vince has a small but decent collection of BDs and engaging with them is one of his few favourite pasttimes he allows himself. Especially with Johnny stuck in his head it has proven to be somewhat effective of shutting him off for a little while without having to rely on drugs (Vince is a recovering addict, so he is in a constant dilemma with whether or not to take the pills to shut him up or not). Also, it's prime time to cuddle with Nibbles! And for sure also a way to just escape his very bleak reality of being actively dying, even if only for a few hours, and even if coming back from the BD often only makes reality look worse for quite a while.
Hello! I'm presently being bombarded with expected and unexpected bills, so a little promo is in order. At the moment I'm trying to cover around 2.500 BRL of medical bills (roughly 450 USD), with more on the way since I just lost a piece of my tooth.
Purchasing a character icon will give you a piece optimized to be used as profile picture, with the character on the center, a clear silhouette, and light rendering. You can pick the color of the background - or forfeit it entirely if you'd like. Just let me know! ❤️
Characters with elaborate horns, lots of jewelry, cyberware or tattoos might be charged 5 USD extra.
Please do not provide picrews as references. Screenshots, drawings from other artists, face claims are all fine - I just really can't translate most picrews into my style, sorry!
*Picrews as color references are fine!
Fandom OCs and Canon characters are fine. Animals are fine.
If you're unable to commission me at the moment but still would like to help, my Ko-Fi is open - there's also a shop full of templates there!
Reblogs are also incredibly helpful! Thank you for any and all support!
