For the record! We’re not fucking around with his bones just because. Technically, they should be given to his living relatives, but they really, REALLY don’t want him. It's not just to have a "do over" that doesn't involve the original cast, it's to cut them out of the royalties. Literally the entire point is to make sure all the money made by Harry Potter goes to transphobes or people willing to work with transphobes.

You look at almost any other species of mammal and they give each other physical affection all the time, but for some reason we've decided that physical affection when you're an adult should be exclusively romantic and to want frequent physical affection from your friends or family is strange or sus or a sign you actually view them romantically, and this can't be good for us I don't think.

somewhat related to prev reblog but coming from a culture where people are way more prone to be physically affectionate with one another in a completely platonic way it's one of those exhausting things about being on spaces where the majority of its users are from the US where families are hierarchies and therefore certain signs of affection are (largely) automatically some shape of malicious

maybe the reason why malice is seen everywhere is because parents act as people of importance removed from their children, and raise them to believe that there is a strict list of behaviors deemed appropriate between family members. and not because these acts themselves are sexual

it's always funny to me when ppl act like it's somehow incestuous for characters who consider each other found family/chosen family/whatever u wanna call the trope to date each other, and it's funny for many reasons, but most specifically it's funny because irl when you meet a person and get really attached and decide that you want to be family with them, there's a very popular legally recognized way of doing that & it's called marriage

Every once in a while I've seen the sentiment like "I can't believe I'm still blocked by [person] for [thing that happened forever ago]" and I dunno, I kind of operate under the assumption that most people don't revisit their blocklists. Least of all to pass through it and judge which accounts are now unblock-worthy.

Like if you found me slightly annoying once in 2016 I simply assume I'm blocked forever.
