Sorry but “this” is the “professional” TV Guide reporter who gets to interview Jensen and Jared on set, this is the reporter being applauded by (some extreme) Destiel shippers for writing that piece about “queer-baiting” on Supernatural. How can anyone let alone Jensen take arguments about shipping as anything but fetishization, wanting to see a hot guy get it on with another hot guy when most of what is out there about it is related to how ‘cute’, ‘hot’ it is or speculation over Jensen’s own sexuality with his co-stars, fans yelling “you can’t have subtext without buttsex” out to him at conventions and disregarding or even bashing him for his own opinion that Dean and Castiel are “brothers-in-arms” nothing more.

He’s a straight 36 year old married man with a child but god forbid if he’s uncomfortable with teen girls writing gay porn about his character or himself with his friends. How many ‘secret’ gay relationships has Jensen got according to fans now? It’s amazing how he juggles his time.

I know Destiel isn’t just about porn, it isn’t as shallow as that. I know there are legit arguments to be had about LGBT representation in the media but those real arguments are being lost in the sheer amount of wank and bashing of the crew and actors and accusations of homophobia where it doesn’t exist. Acting in that way actually harms the very real issue because people dismiss you as over-entitled fangirls who are stomping their feet because their favorite ship isn’t been made canon. It’s also harming the show and your ship because to avoid “queer-baiting” they’re having to avoid Dean and Cas sharing screen-time because fans read too much into it. Fans are even saying they’re keeping Dean and Cas apart as some kind of romantic trope. They can’t win.

Isn’t “queer-baiting” subtext that’s being taken seriously? Doesn’t mean it’s the only interpretation and others are wrong or even homophobic for not seeing it that way.

Imagine things from Jensen’s perspective, what he sees of shippers actions towards him.If he has a less than positive opinion about shippers and Destiel I wouldn’t blame him.

LET ME EXPLAIN

So I walked in to the photo op room. This was the first time I had ever seen either of them in person before, so, naturally, I was flipping out. So I got to the front of the line, and then it was my turn. All I could think was, “DON’T FUCK THIS UP.” So I walked up to them and I handed them the sunglasses and I said, “We are secret agents.” (This was inspired by the shades in Changing Channels and Paper Moon). So, when I said that, Jensen did his famous full-body laugh and was all like “Really? That’s awesome.” So they put on the shades and we went to take the picture and I was all like, “Get in close.” So they did, and I was all like “No, get closer. Squish in there. And look over the top of the glasses. And they did and then they took the photo and then I walked off in a daze. I almost forgot the glasses. Jared had to give them back to me. And then he walked back and he winked at me. But not like the half-assed wink you might expect. No, this wink was one to remember.

In summary: It was amazing. They smelled amazing. The photo is amazing.

the girl that was like 3 people before me made jensen wear a tutu and crown for her photo op and when I went up I was crying but smiling at the same time and jensen said “are you crying because the tutu was so funny?” and I covered my face and started bawling. Everyone in the room including jensen were like “awww” and jensen grabbed me and hugged me hard and asked me if I needed a moment to relax that it would be okay if I tried to calm down for a bit and then come back, I said no I was fine and he told me he wanted to give me a big hug for the photo and after we took our photo he grabbed my hand and said thank you and I obviously said thank you back. It was the greatest day of my life.

For our J2 op, my girlfriend fainted in Jensen’s arms, and Jared “fainted” on me. They took two photos because Sky’s hair was in her face the first time around, but they printed both of them regardless, and I love them very much~

Needless to say, Jensen and Sky look like they are straight off the cover of a romance novel, and Jared and I look derpy as ever. It’s absolutely perfect.

I don’t know how it’s possible, but Jensen is even more stunning in person. Safe to say, I just about died. If you look closely, you’ll notice my pupils are the size of saucers, lol. Also, THAT SMOLDER, OMG.

My photo with Jensen and my photo with Misha and Jensen. The photo with just Jensen happened earlier in the day than the second one. I didn’t even notice until last night that some time during the day Jensen changed shirts.

For the Jensen photo I walked up to him and asked for a squishy hug and he said something affirmative and pulled me into a hug and then he pressed me into his body. I don’t remember his face up close or how he smelled or anything like that, but I can still feel the way my body squished into his. It was a very pleasant experience. I definitely recommend it if you get the chance.

For the Jensen and Misha photo I walked up and asked for another squishy hug. This one was double the niceness of the first one. Poor Misha seemed like he was emotionally tired and drained all weekend, but he was a champ and I felt very blessed by all of my interactions with him.

I’ll post my photo ops later but story, I gave jensen the picture of him in gym shorts to sign and he laughed and said “that’s one sexy motherfucker” and I said “I know right” and the girl behind me was like “you know self appreciation isn’t a very attractive quality” laughing and he was like “I know but when you look like that what can you do?”
