It was Cain’s day off which meant running a few errands in town before heading home to spend the rest of his day with his favorite people; his family. Because the weather was nice, they’d be eating outside a lot which Dodger loved. Only one years old and he was already a lover of nature. Cain bought a bottle of bubbles for after dinner, knowing Dodger would love it. Even though money was tight, it was worth it to see the look on his kid’s face. Cain turned the corner just in time to see a very familiar face. His eyes widened and his heart squeezed with joy in his chest. However, that initial joy was overridden by anger. “Jack! You fuckin’- where- you!- how-” He couldn’t even speak so he did the only thing he could think of and throw that bottle of bubbles at his friend’s chest. Thank god, the bottle didn’t break.
Jack’s eyes followed the bottle that hit his chest as it fell to the ground. Bubbles? “Wait, don’t throw the play-doh next,” he teased. “I’m sorry. I’m really bad with goodbyes and staying put. So is everything still going good with that Soc girl or is that old news?”
