Joe Cocker was famous for delivering insane stage performances and fans used to state that he wasn’t high on drugs or stoned - he just lived in the music. Well - both statements were apparently correct. He used to speed and get stoned and everything else - but the fact is - when he performed straight. the same spasmodic body movement showed up. The music meant equally much to him on drugs or not. Awesome fucking guy - watch his Woodstock performance if you haven’t and listen to “With a little help from my friends” if you haven’t. Rest in peace, Joe.
