Watched the Odyssey today with my grandma! (She likes greek mythology)
It was great! The only problem was that my movie theater (its like an off-brand theater thing. Idk how they got to screen it today) had the volume turned up SO loud. Like my eardrums hurt from all the insane action scenes
But anyways, it was great!
Also, P.S the Odyssey is fictional, this movie adaptation doesnt have to be accurate, thats like the whole point of fiction. The actors were incredible, their looks had nothing to do with their story so it shouldnt even be a problem. But unfortunately people are racist and transphobic and this movie gave them a reason to express their unwanted opinions.
I loved Helen and Sinon, they did a great job being their characters. Because thats the point of acting. You are pretending to be a character, you are not actually them
I love thinking about trans man Sheik cause he is so 'I've always felt ill-fitting for this body and role that I've been born in. Everyone says that I'm the perfect child/princess/daughter but I feel like I've been lying to myself since the day I was born and I will continue to lie to myself until I die. Why do I feel so free when my home literally burned before my eyes and my kingdom suffers without me doing a thing about it. Anyway about to go hit up the kakariko medicine lady for testosterone now'

I read so many trans books, i should really do a book review on this blog
Like right now, im reading "Out Of Blue Comes Green" and I LOVE IT
I'll post a more detailed review about it later but its somewhat similar to Stay Gold by Tobly McSmith and has stuff to do with bands, dogs, romance, and family drama. I love it and literally read like 15 chapters in one sitting
Okay, someone who knows what the main details are to the Linked Universe, please explain it to me
I kind of want to write a fic about Hyrule Warriors Link but it would be really cool and easier for me to write if the Links from the other games were there.
I know the main premise of it, all the Links from the games have a big crossover, but like, idk what else there is
When she got remarried (i think they got married to him, idk) she bought an NES for my step-grandpa and they would play it together
They were like in their late 40's to 50's btw, in a time where video games were mainly geared toward children.
But what is even better is that one of her favorite games was THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
I could go on about why my grandma is such a cool badass (despite her political views, but i think shes also starting to change that) from surviving and leaving her abusive mafia husband, to going to law school while having 4 children, and just being really cool but I dont really have time to write an essay, plus I doubt a lot of people would like to hear about it
Oh my god I just started The Backstagers and HOW THE FUCK HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THIS BOOK UNTIL NOW?
Imagine the backstage of a theater being Narnia but the characters are gay and trans
I've only read two chapters but I love it so much
I love Hunter and Beckett, a bear and a tboy, my two favorite character traits. Though, Im not sure how I feel about the thing going on with Hunter and Jory. Isnt Hunter like a Junior or Senior and Jory is a Freshman? Idk, seems a little weird tbh but whatever.
You know how people write fanfiction? I wanna write a fan-musical script. I think im gonna write a Compound Fracture musical script
It'll be a play with some music mixed into it.
Heres what im thinking for music
You know Poor Man's Poison? They are like punk banjo folk country. Anyways, the songs would have some of that mixed into it but also some of like Newsies and talking about rights and stuff.
And the cast
I will probably get rid of one or two people who do not play a big role. Maybe like Michael or Cooper's dad
This is gonna be fun
(Oh yeah, if anyone has more ideas, GIVE THEM TO ME. It could just be a song or something, anything. I will take anything)
Summary: With the threat of Medusa rising, Pit has realized that he needs to up his game and become stronger. Even though he normally gets a week between missions, he puts all his time into training. However, this starts to backfire on him when none of his injuries seem to be healing at the rate they normally do. Palutena soon notices his exhaustion and pulls him back to the temple
(Takes place sometime at the beginning of the game)

also, there are 2,012 words to this fic, which is coincidentally the same year Kid Icarus Uprising came out
There are a lot of myths about angels. Some of these myths say that angels can’t get hurt or become tired. A lot of people believe that just because they are divine creatures, that they are unbreakable and very different from humans. However, with how Pit was feeling, he was sure that myth was false.
The mission was supposed to be easy. Take out Medusa’s army in the sky and in the human village. The sky mission was very difficult, as he was still new to flying (even if it was just for 5 minutes). But the most important part was that he had not preened his wings in months. They weren’t too bad while he was on the ground, but when he was in the sky? A whole different story. They felt so heavy and uncomfortable. They itched and the feathers wouldn’t hit the wind perfectly, making it harder on the muscle to keep up. Sure, Palutena guided him, but it still put a lot of strain on the tendons.
On top of not preening his wings in a while, he hadn’t really been taking breaks. With the threat of Medusa rising again, he had focused his free time in between missions to train and practice. That meant almost all the injuries he acquired from the actual missions took longer to heal, even with his fast angelic healing. Now, a simple sprained wrist would take a couple days if not a week to heal, instead of its couple hours or singular day.
So going into this mission with half-healed injuries, exhaustion, and unpreened wings was not a good idea. Luckily, his angelic adrenaline kept him from feeling too much pain when those injuries became worse, or when he obtained new ones.
“That should be the last one…” Pit panted as he slew another monster, limping a little and covering the gash on his arm with his hand.
“It appears so. I’m not detecting anymore in your area,” Palutena said, “Will you be alright to go check on the townspeople?”
Palutena wasn’t stupid, she saw the way Pit limped and held himself. Although she couldn’t detect the exact injuries, the adrenaline and chest binder he wore made it hard, she knew he had seen better days. A part of her wanted to pull him back up into the temple and check on him, but she didn’t want to nag or seem “overprotective”, he didn’t deserve that right now.
“Y-yeah, I can,” Pit answered. He let out a small whimper as he tried to put pressure on his foot to walk towards the town center. The adrenaline was starting to come down
“Sorry…” He mumbled, knowing Palutena likely heard that. There were so many rules he had to keep up with, he was pretty sure whining wasn’t okay.
“It’s alright, Pit. Though I can see more clearly that you are in pain. Perhaps it would be better for you to return to the Temple,” Palutena advised.
“I’ll be fine, Lady Palutena. I’m your Angel for a reason. I can handle a little pain. I just need to make sure the people are alright,” Pit said, continuing to limp into the center of town.
Palutena sighed but let him go. The villagers did need some help, hopefully Pit could assist them without hurting himself in the process. But while she waited, she set some things up for him back at the temple. Mainly putting out his pajamas and cleaning his room a little.
But just as she was finishing up, she felt something inside telling her to check up on him again. So she dove in and saw where her angel was.
Looking down at him, she saw Pit helping people clean up stands and repair homes. The bruising on his ankle and face and blood down his arm were bad, but what concerned the most was the fact that he only had about 15-30 seconds left of flight. The sky mission only took up about 3 minutes, meaning he had been using his wings and exhausting them further.
Currently, Pit had just finished repairing a few damaged houses and shops, but he was not looking too good himself. She could sense some severely bruised ribs underneath his binder as well as a mild fracture in his ankle.
“Pit, I think it’s time for you to return to the Temple,” Palutna said
“But there are still people who need help!” Pit protested.
“Yeah, cleaning up their cabbage stand. No one is in danger anymore, Pit, you can rest,” She told him
“But-”
“Do not argue with me. I’m pulling you up now,” she declared.
Within a couple seconds, Pit materialized in the center room of the temple. Seeing him in person made his injuries and exhaustion a lot more prominent to Palutena. He leaned heavily on his left foot and his grip on his bow looked weak. All together, with the bruises and blood, he looked ready to drop any minute now.
Palutena walked over to him and gently held his cheek without bending down. Pit felt very intimidated by her height and tried to not maintain eye contact as she looked him over. This lasted for about a minute, with her glancing at his wings every now and then before she took her hand away.
“Go change out of your binder. I’ve put out some fresh clothes on your bed. Afterwards, I will properly check you for any serious injuries and determine if we need to go to the hospital,” Palutena said.
“Yes, Lady Palutena,” Pit responded before limping away to his bedroom.
Once he left to go change, Palutena wondered if her tone had been a bit harsh on the angel. It was hard for her to properly express concern and worry. She had done it once before and realized how unprofessional it seemed, she sounded like an overprotective worried mother, and stopped herself from doing it further. But perhaps it was time to let her maternal side bleed through a little.
After about 10 minutes, Palutena grabbed the medkit and knocked on Pit’s door.
“Are you finished?” She asked.
“Y-yeah,” the angel answered from inside the room
Slowly, she opened the door. Inside, Pit was sitting on bed in his pajamas (basically his outfit from the first and second Kid Icarus games), no sandals or bracers on. She saw all the dried up blood on his arms and face and his swollen and bruised ankle. There were bags underneath his eyes, and his skin didn’t have its normal glow to it. Though she knew she’d have to check his ribs too, something Pit would definitely make a small fuss about. The boy hated being seen without his binder, even though his chest wasn’t really that big to begin with. It made him extremely uncomfortable, but sometimes it was necessary.
“How did this happen?” she asked as she kneeled down to see his ankle. It wasn’t common for him to get injuries like this. Burns and scrapes were the most common with him.
“It- It wasn’t that bad a couple days ago-”
“You’ve had a fractured ankle for days and it looks like this?!” She exclaimed
“It wasn’t like this though! It just hurt a little bit and I thought it was just a bruise and would go away on its own,” Pit tried to explain.
The fact that this wound started out small and got worse meant only one thing. Pit hadn’t been taking time to heal. While a mild fracture for humans typically took 6 weeks to heal, it would only take one week, if not less, for Pit. But during the healing week, it would show improvement almost every day until it was better.
“Pit, when was the last time you rested?” She asked.
“...” Pit stayed silent.
“Pit, answer me,” She ordered.
“Okay, fine! I took one day off I think last week,” He replied, looking away from her.
“You think? Pit, you are not unbreakable. You need to rest and take breaks,” She said
“But isn’t it unbecoming and lazy?” he asked, recalling something she had said a month or two ago when he had tried to take an hour break during a mission.
Realizing what she had likely said, Palutena felt a wave of guilt wash over her. She does nag him a lot about being the perfect angel, doesn’t she? She remembered all the times she told him he couldn’t do certain things, express certain emotions, all because it was unbecoming of an angel.
“I-... During missions, it can be, but you usually have 5-8 days in between missions for resting. What have you even been doing during that time?” She responded.
“I’ve been training a lot and fusing my weapons, doing whatever I can to become stronger,” He explained. He thought that maybe she’d be really proud him, knowing that he was taking this seriously.
Palutena sighed though. She had only given him the training room inside the temple for trying out new weapons and powers. She hadn’t expected him to overuse it.
“After you’re done healing, I’m locking the training room. You will only be able to use it with my permission,” She declared, taking out a couple bandages and starting to wrap his foot, placing two sticks on each side to keep his ankle straight and still. He hissed through his teeth a little as she touched the tender bone.
Pit was in too much pain and was too exhausted to really argue with her. He really didn’t want to have to summon her just to ask to practice. Whenever Pit was in the temple, she usually was off doing her own things, giving the boy some privacy. He really didn’t want to have to bother her but it seemed like he would have to.
Afterwards, Palutena began disinfecting and wrapping any cuts she found. Some were on his wings, which were already looking pretty rough, while others were on his face and arms. When she was finally finished with that, she knew what would come next.
“Pit, I know you’re uncomfortable without your binder, but I need to check for any more injuries,” She said. Pit stayed silent for a couple seconds before letting out a small sigh.
“Fine…” He carefully began to remove his tunic, but let out a small yelp in pain when his torso moved too much as he wiggled out of it.
Carefully, Palutena examined his ribs. They were bruised and possibly fractured too. They looked to be in a slightly inward position as well, likely from his binder. She put some healing salve on the bruised parts and told him he could put his tunic back on.
“You’re going to be out of commission for at least a week, maybe 2. Don’t even try to argue with me on this, it is for your own good,” Palutena said. The angel let out a small grumble, but that was mostly it. So with all his injuries taken care of, she stood up and was about to leave to let him rest.
“Lady Palutena?” he called
“Yes, Pit?”
“Can you… actually nevermind,” He said, backing out.
“No, it’s alright, what were you going to ask?”
“I can’t really, um, preen my wings right now and they are really uncomfortable. I- I was just wondering if you could help?” He asked, feeling ashamed for having to go to her for help.
“Of course I can, it's not a problem,” Palutena said. She walked back to the bed and sat behind her angel.
For the next 20 minutes, the goddess preened and cleaned his feathers, picking out any debris and dropping it into a tray to throw out later. She would probably have to give him a bird bath later to get all the nooks and crannies.
Without warning, Pit suddenly fell back into Palutena’s lap. She was worried for a second, but then realized the boy had just fallen asleep. Not wanting to disturb him, she leaned back and held him as he slept, hoping that he’d feel better soon.
That temple place Pit goes to in between Chapters/missions, is it possible for Palutena to visit it? I havent finished the game yet but I'm thinking of writing a oneshot where she helps preen his feathers and patch him up after a mission before the game actually takes place. Idk just fluff and hurt/comfort stuff
(Also I do not ship Pit with anyone, ESPECIALLY Palutena. He is an aroace trans boy in my eyes)
