Proud Ravenclaw & Thunderbird. JACKSON N. MCCONNELL-BEAUMONT 29 years old. Oldest of four. Cotton Plant resident. Aspiring author. English & Latin teacher at Des Arc high school. Cambridge University graduate, class of 2011. Apparently, I'm that 'hot teacher' at the school, so there's always that. At the very least, I know my husband agrees. Speaking of which, I'm sorry to break it to you, but I am most definitely not on the market. I'm one of those lucky few who married my best friend. His name is Killian. No, he's not a sexy pirate with an Irish accent, but he is the love of my life. He has this weird obsession with peanut butter and pickles, which is disgusting, but he's adorable so I don't mind. I'm quite possessive, so keep your dicks away from him thank you very much.

You might be? What can I do to convince you? I might just break out my puppy dog eyes for it which you know from experience are very hard to say no to. Oh of course, we can both share the special job along with an honorable mention in the book of course.
Yes. Might. Might being the key word. ;) Oh god no, not the puppy dog eyes. That's not fair. That's just playing dirty. I can say no, but I usually end up feeling bad about it and saying yes anyway. Of course you both will get an honorable mention. 'Thanks for putting up with my particular brand of pain in the ass.'
There may be a character or two in the novel that you might recognize. I may or may not have gotten inspiration from high school versions of the two of you for certain main characters.
Story of my entire college career. This is the reason I’m taking a break from trying to write an actual book. If I get started with one, that ish is going to be so planned out from beginning to end that God himself wouldn’t be able to deter me, complete with color-coded binders and notes to keep everything on track. The writer’s block is a whole other bitch to try and tackle though.
Sadly, it's a concept that I've been working on since my Freshman year of college. Which was roughly 11 years ago. It started as a short story for one of my composition classes, and morphed into an actual concept for a book. I stopped working on it for a few years, but still. It's been something I've been working on for a long time. Writer's block is a bitch and a half.
It’s not really the same thing, buuut.. I get the same way with ideas for my videos.
It's similar enough! Coming up with the story of the plot is similar enough to coming up with ideas for videos that you would know how annoying it is, ha.
Oh, you’re an author and all this time I thought you were a college professor. What types of books do you write?
Oh, wow. That's a huge compliment, ha. I'm a high school teacher. I'm not a published author, but I'm trying. The one book I'm writing is a dystopian novel steeped in Greek mythology if that makes sense. There is - of course - a love story written in, but that's kind of a background plot. The other is more for my own sake because it's set in a world that J.K. Rowling created, and I can't really afford to deal with copyright infringement, ha.
Throwback to the night we got engaged on a freakin’ Disney cruise. Looking back now, I still can’t believe that I didn’t see it coming. @killianmcb #throwbackthursday #ilovehimsomuch #disneycruise #disneycruiseengagements
Well at least you have multiple options to go back to if you suddenly get some muse. Are you going to let me know what you are writing about?
That is definitely a plus, ha. I might be convinced to let you know what the books are about...I might even be convinced to let you read them before anyone else. Except maybe Killian.
You’re writing a novel? That’s awesome, what was it about, or is that a secret?
That I am. I'm writing two, actually, but the second is more for myself than anything else; it's based in the realm of Harry Potter so I could never actually publish it. The first story, though, is something I've been working on since my Freshman year of college, to be honest. I suppose I could tell you, as long as you promised not to steal my idea and claim it as your own, ha. It has a sort of Hunger Games meets Percy Jackson feel to it? It’s set in a dystopian society where all the Greek gods are at war with each other over something trivial (which I have yet to really figure out what started it all), and it’s left the Earth nearly devastated in their wake, and a few of their children set out to stop it. It probably sounds lame, but I’m hoping it could be successful, ha.
The other story stems from the concept of 'what would have happened had Harry said yes to Draco's friendship, been sorted into Slytherin, and ended up following in Voldemort's footsteps.
The one I'm planning on trying to get published is a young adult novel. The other is...well, more or less it's just a story to get the idea out of my head. It's based in the realm of Harry Potter so I could never actually publish it, ha.
