STOBIN APPRECIATION WEEK ↳ Day 5: Stobin + Someone Else
It's cool you two are, like, friends now. Maybe after we find Vecna, kill him, save the world and stuff, maybe we can all go out or something. You know? Me, you, Robin.
the worst writing crime you can ever commit in my opinion is watering down the dirty talk because you’re self-conscious that it sounds like it’s from a bad porno…..i cannot stress this enough……leave it alone. the moment you tell yourself he would not fucking say that you’re doomed. people will say almost anything if their dick is hard enough
I mean you've threatened to kill me a bunch of times. You once told me you were gonna drown me in a river like a kangaroo.
[warm laugh of fond reminiscence] I did do that

we gotta get back to torrent distribution, i just watched someone eat eight grand in bandwidth charges because they ran a direct-download piracy site with local file hosting through cloudflare. torrents were invented literally for this exact reason
torrents work like this
i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3
unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it
i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map
i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs
this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.
crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.
please learn to torrent

always use qbittorrent, do not use bittorrent or utorrent.

Steve helpfully offering his hand to everyone boarding the boat, only to get ignored or unnoticed every single time. that’s it, that’s the post
anyone surprised that markiplier knows about the bloodymary ship doesn't remember this is a man who has seen himself ass blasted by springtrap you must assume that whatever the most obscure, insane content you've involved him in he not only knows about it but already knows more than you'll ever fathom. it's too late. he knew before you even knew you knew he knew you knew
oh dusteve you mean so much to me
"A decision is made."
I kinda prefer how this dialogue was on the script. Eddie sounded more desperate. Him yelling at Dustin "STAY WHERE YOU ARE!!" Would have been more heartbreaking Idk 🥺
creates a porn sideblog and you look in there and its just pictures of fucked up stairs leading nowhere
Just in case people are wondering, Steve's beamer would have cost over 30k in season 1, the very year the car came out. That means a 17yo ended up with a car that today with inflation would be 80k+ (and more likely to be well over that seeing how higher end bmws in 2026 are over 100k)
I think you can easily cross off the idea that Steve bought it himself, and the idea it was a gift is far more likely. I'd wonder if it was a sweet sixteen kind of gift, or even not his car at all, maybe his father's secondary car (though I don't find that likely, seems to be very much Steve's car.)
But to me the idea of it being a gift is interesting, because while Steve clearly likes his car, it's a luxury vehicle afterall and had a lot of new tech in it for the time, the one picture Steve had on his bedroom wall was more of a classic muscle car. So, while I can't say I have any actual evidence for this, it brings up the mental image of parents who cared enough to buy him a very very nice car as a gift... but it wasn't actually the car he wanted. It's a car that makes them look better, as a status symbol.
