Carol and Susan- Season 1 - Motherhood. Directed by the amazing Quentin Tarantino, this is the equal best season one episode, along with the far less cheerful Love's Labors Lost. I love how this episode incorporates several trademarks of Tarantino's storytelling style while staying true to the aesthetic and storytelling style that ER was beginning to develop.

On a shallower note: Sherry Stringfield was really, really gorgeous in this episode.
