Conflict found its way to our idyllic world. In small ways at first. Over time, it changed our very way of life. 2. The darkness came. the monsters with it. Some of our ancestors even fell to its thrall, gaining cursed magic. 3. The hosts did all they could to stave off the corruption, but in the end, they were powerless. 4. All they could do was retreat into the Well of Fate, never to return. 5. And leaving us all alone.

6. But all was not lost. For they took what little magic they had left, and gave it to special beings. Individuals of great bravery, skill, and intellect. Ones who could shape the world with a thought. Who could carry on the Host's noble goals for the rest of time! 7. Those Beings are...? (Nephri) No way! Is that.... Is that me!?

I just wanna say I am absolutely in love with your My World AU. Would it be considered an AU of an AU? Either way, absolutely love it!!! Nephri is especially adorable, all their energy and their excitement of no longer being alone. And August, oh August you have my heart buddy. To be shunned for your beliefs only for you to realize its all true right at the moment you start to truly doubt. Absolutely fantastic! Also, would this mean that the villagers underground there are speaking a different language than the ones above? Different dialect? I imagine lives are shorter on the surface, what with the monsters and all, so language easily could've evolved faster than those with a more solid and longer lasting life time to go along with the isolated nature of their location.

Nephri can handle this one! Thank you so much for the ask!!!!!
