every so often i remember how awesome the modern interconnected multicultural world is. i grew up getting to hear fairy tales from all over the world. africa, asia, europe, america. everywhere in between. i can have bagels for breakfast, curry for lunch, and ramen for dinner without even leaving the city limits. music and art and philosophy and technology that originated thousands of miles and years apart from eachother have come together and interwoven into something greater than the sum of its parts. its hard not fall into despair when thinking about the horrors but god. god the wonders.

Salty that I see so many people say they love people with country accents or headcanon characters with it when me, a real person, gets bashed for it and people immediately clock me as bigoted despite me not saying anything I am such. Just that I happen to be born as a fucking hillbilly, that's it, nothing else. It just seems so hypocritical, it's ridiculous and insulting.

*** Spy x Family Ch. 138 Review ***

** Hey! You might recognize this kind of chapter review from a blog called purplealchemist. Well, that was me til my blog mysteriously disappeared. Unfortunately I lost all of the previous chapter reviews and therefore a lot of my notes pertaining to previous reviews will be from memory. Hopefully I can get them back soon. In the meantime, enjoy! **

Theory #1: Donovan is working on a special project at the Hospital.

Jeeves mentions to Damian that his Father has been visiting the hospital frequently. I have a theory that Donovan was in the medical field before he was a politician and still has some knowledge of it.

We know Donovan is probably there to attend a meeting, and he's headed to the neurosurgery department according to Fiona. We all know Donovan has scars around his head, so perhaps this is related to himself, but could also be related to Project Apple.

Theory #2: Someone is a Double Agent

One thing I haven’t seen anyone talk about yet is: how did WISE COMPLETELY MISS Donovan visiting the hospital they are STATIONED AT????

Is someone a mole???

Fiona and Loid clearly aren’t, but we don’t know much about Handler and other WISE characters. Perhaps someone is there to make sure nothing traces back to Project Apple. This mole could be working with Donovan, which would make since because WISE is located at the hospital that Donovan has easy access to. But who is this mole?

Well, I came up with a theory awhile ago relating to Sigmund Authen’s son. We know he has a son who lives in the city, but we don’t know his name.

If Sigmund and his wife are in their 80’s-90’s, their son is probably older as well. A man with gray hair.

Well, who has grey hair in WISE?

This guy.

I also noticed he has a similar mustache to Donovan’s. For all we know, they could be connected in some way.

Side Note:

I get that Fiona would die, happily, for Loid, but I don’t think Loid wants to die anytime soon. The guy doesn’t know how to take a break, sure, but he’s learning. Slowly.

This is also again why I think Fiona needs to meet Yuri. Yuri just got over his attachment to Yor, so I’m guessing he will be the one to help Fiona get over her attachment to Loid.

Side note:

I was explaining to someone in the comments of a chapter review that I think Damian inviting Anya to his house, with her parents, would be a “final boss” sort of thing. I think it would occur towards the end of the series. So hearing Anya call Donovan “the final boss” made me burst out laughing.

Side Note:

I love how Endo draws Anya’s little legs here. I guess this is a good example of her “stubby legs”. Sometimes I forget just how young she is until Endo draws a bit of baby fat on her. She’s so adorable.

Side Note:

Anya is wearing her school uniform so if Donovan sees her he’s going to know she attends Eden Academy. He’s already met Loid once so if he meets him again he could make the connection that they’re related. So, if Anya reveals anything to him, Loid is pretty screwed.

I mean. The man is more likely going to get knocked out by his wife at this point so he can actually rest. That would be pretty ironic.

chapter 138 - spoiler

As much as it pains me to see Loid like this, I think it really has to come to the point that his stomach ruptures and he has to undergo surgery. Let me elaborate:

1. He won't sit still und rest unless he has absolutely no other choice.

2. Fiona has to realise he is just human as well.

3. Anya needs to learn that her actions (running away) have consequences; not only might she get hurt herself but the ones she loves (her papa) can get hurt in the process too.

4. Handler really must ease Loid's workload. I mean the guy works non stop.

5. Finally, Yor can take care of him and (hopefully) express her feelings other than by crushing his hand.

(6. Ewen and Emile might learn that a stomach ache can be indeed serious.)

this is actually a huge bit of twilight development omg. twilight at the start of this story wouldn’t have been like "oh i guess if you dont feel like training we just wont". ofc he wouldnt have been cruel to bond but he wouldve tried harder to get him to do training for the good of the mission. it seems like hes not even concerned about making bond a guard dog at this point which suggests that hes grown to feel SAFE in the forger home which is insane.

and not only that but the detail that hes planing on doing HOSPITAL paperwork is so important. maybe ive gotten it wrong but i swear hes usually doing more WISE paperwork than paperwork for his cover job. the choice from endo to specify 'hospital' paperwork reads to me like another indication that hes slipping more and more into the loid forger persona.

i wondered after his conflict in 133 if twilight would withdraw from his family and put more walls up so as to limit how attached he was to them but it looks like the opposite is happening which is SO good
