Meiji Komorebi

A 1885 Japanese inspired Dress

I FINALLY Finished! I started this project back in 2020 a few weeks after TS4 Snowy Escape was released. At the moment it looked like a basic 1880's Bustle Dress, no big deal but once i reached the Weight paint mode it was a NIGHTMARE. You see? this dress have a slight Lobster Tail train and everytime i try to fix it it became harder and clippy. Frustrated and somewhat tired due the pandemic i decided to stash the project on the WIP folder and forget about it until a couple of days ago that resurfaced on my WIP's Folders so i revisited the project. Those damn weights didn't stood a chance and finally finished it.

The Dress is inspired on mid 1880's Japanese wear wore by the high class ladies on the Meiji Period Japan. They used to mix Kimono silks and Western patterns to create unique garments while still following the European fashionable dress.

Happy Simblreen!

Life´s been busy lately, but this year that hasn´t stopped me from making you all a little gift: A spoopy apartment for a paranormal investigator!

Small and a bit cramped, it´s a cozy home for a sigle sim or couple with a cat, and it comes with everything they may need (seance table included) in cute and modern pastel goth style. Since it´s a fake apartment it can be placed in any world, although it was originally built for Brindleton Bay.

I figured out a way to fence patios for free, useful for starter homes, so I’m sharing a small simple how-to for everyone to use it

Just a little FYI: I keep real life and my pixel life separated for the sake of my wellbeign, that’s why you won’t ever find a post here about current social issues.

I can’t keep up with all the horrors of the world at once, specially now during a pandemic that’s hit my country hard. This doesn’t mean I don’t care about the murder of George Floyd or the protests, much less that I support what the cops did, but I’m not american and there’s nothing I can do about what happened that I haven’t done already. I have a personal account where I address real life issues, but it’s apart from the sims community.

I’m saying this so you know what to expect. Black Lives Matter.

Unpopular Opinion...

With the new upcoming pack many sim players both on Twitter and Tumblr are sharing their opinions, most of them valid and founded but there’s one going around that really annoys me: “No one wants this pack! It’s too niche!”

Because what those people actually mean is “I’m not into it therefore no one is” and that’s just plain annoying, and quite egocentric, because after so many EPs we all have gotten stuff we didn’t reallly want or even like, specially now that the big demands (pets, seasons, uni...) are more or less covered... For example I never play legacies or families, couldn’t care less about kids in the game and we got not 1, but 3 packs focused on them (Parenthood, Kids Room, Toddler Stuff) but I had the maturity of shutting up and not talking shit about them to those who were excited about it. Damn I couldn’t give less of a fuck about knitting, but I know spreading negativity does no good.

TL,DR: If you don’t like the new pack it’s okay, just don’t act like a twat about it trying to ruin the fun for those who do.

1. If you could travel one place in the world where would you travel? Right now I couldn’t decide between going back to London, visiting Florence or finally getting to know Istambul... I’m a traveler at heart, my dream would be to live in the steampunk mobile home i made and travel the world

2. What do you do in your free time away from sims? I love to play other videogames, read books and play with my cats.

3. What other games do you play besides the sims? Many different games and sagas: The Outer Worlds, Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, Bioshock, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls...)

4. How tall are you? 1,72m

5. One random interest of yours? Art, I simply love art, to look at paintings and buildings and sculptures and go :O

6. Current favourite bands or artists? RN I’m in for the witchy stuff, so I’m feeling Stevie Nicks, Florence and The Machine and the like.

7. Something your looking forward to? LADDERS!!!! and Cyberpunk 2077 ;)

8. Current favourite films? Can’t really choose, but The Shape of Water is one of my most beloved.

9. What food could you not live without? Pasta, definitely pasta.

10. Favourite series (book or movie series)? A very funny supernatural steampunk novel series called The Parasol Protectorate, would fully recommend to anyone who likes a relatable female protagonist and queer rep in the later books.

Lizbeth had always know what she wanted: A lavish life of travel in which to enjoy all kinds of delicacies from over the world, to taste the wonders she heard about from sailors and adventurers. She had also been greatly aware of the obstacle of not having legs to wander the land or money to pay for the luxuries she so badly wanted, but was ready to do whatever it took to overcome them; so to remedy the first and hopefully alleviate the second, she chose to become an artificer.

After some years and many tries she managed her goal: To create a magic pendant which allowed her to change her form and walk among the land folk. With that, her skills and her knack for discreetly taking what wasn’t hers she slowly made herself a name as a not-competely-legal artifacts and oddities dealer.

Now, she’s looking for something that, if true, can’t be stolen or magic bound: The love of a woman willing to travel by her side and share the tastest the world has to offer.
