i like to think that jade was so taken aback when kit kissed her good-bye in episode 1 that she convinced herself it had all been a dream. the fact that they never talk about it, too, god, that only convinced her more. the kiss did not happen, her feelings for you are not real. it was all a dream. kit would– the princess could never, would never. then the plums happen, and even though it would be impossible to lie under their effect, it makes jade a little nervous and unsure if her princess really means what she said. about needing her, about wanting to be by her side, about wanting jade to kiss her. but then they kiss again and jade's mind can't help but wander through that same tingling, vivid dream of kit's soft lips against hers that night; of the weight of kit's body as she straddled her; of kit's dizzying scent all over her; of kit's warm and nervous touch against her skin and she realizes that those aren't fantasies, but memories and she can't help but melt under kit's touch because it is true. it's been true for some time. the kiss did happen, her feelings for you are real, she loves you.
