Hello there! This is the alternate blog for user @llamhigyn-y-dwr of Nickstorian Tumblr fame. This was originally made just for making community posts so that strangers with bad motivations would not find my personal blog, but then the Nick side of Tumblr blew up, so I've used it also for reblogging older posts that new people may have missed.

My entry of intrigue to the Nickverse was his relationship with Jaden McNeil, whom I am also fascinated with (hence why he got a lore post out of me and is the POV character in most of my fanfiction). Patrick Casey and Lucian Wintrich are my other favourite "characters" in this universe, though I find everyone and everything in it pretty intriguing.

Just reverse the height difference. We have this dramatic big-haired racist gay guy of Irish heritage who is beloved by Mexicans and his ostensibly straight dark-haired co-dependent bestie that he had a dramatic falling out with.

What plays the greater role in why newgen groypers are more in denial about Nick possibly being gay/bi than oldgens?

They don't know or care about the lore

Influx of fans from more socially conservative countries

In the past, virtually every groyper I interacted with at least begrudgingly accepted that Nick was probably at least somewhat, if not exclusively, attracted to men, even if they didn't approve because they thought "the movement is more important/Ernst Röhm and J. Edgar Hoover were gay too/whatever," but now even joking about it leads to being treated like you're blaspheming him. I have a few hypotheses about this, mainly that it's because the youngsters are less likely to care about diving into someone's lore, but also because he has had a greater influx of fans from countries in the Middle East and South Asia that are more socially conservative than his old base from mostly the US with a bit of Canada, Australia, and Europe. Maybe I'm missing something.

Though some of his opinions famously flip-flop, I'm going off of the ones that seem to remain consistent, such as his classism and his authoritarianism (sometimes leaning into monarchism, the inevitable conclusion of classist authoritarianism). Those are two big noes for me.
