Hey all! Been wanting to practice my c++ for a few reasons, one of which bein godot uses it under the hood, and making custom modules sounds fascinating and I wanna tackle it eventually. Big thank you to Programming With Nick for the pong tutorial :3

Writing the foundation for this took a *lot* more days of work than anticipated but it's finally getting usable! Learned a lot about rigidbody physics in the process. (Credit to Blackwater Gator Studios for the orbit code! <3)

Ardour'n

Aaaand with that, I'm officially using Ardour in my music workflow again. Their latest update absolutely freaking rules. Ultrabox as a base and Ardour to refine is really nice. Still unsure how I'm going to handle music publishing when I get there. Rather not get false claimed. Open to suggestions

Refactoring~

Been busy these last few days ever since I started implementing the battle UI! Trying to strike a balance between not overscoping and making sure to refactor things that'll bog down development later. Thankfully the pfp code is cleaner now!

Olive tries. (the text system has had some bugfixes which have thankfully made the entire dialogue process way easier. Also redid Olive's idle, and drew her some faces >:333!!)

Finally decided on a name for the pink gal, it's Cat! Now that Olive also finds herself in a battle scene, Cat now has some company :D

Meet Olive!

I've been thinking about Olive's design for a bit now, and now our second protagonist finally here! This came together way nicer than I expected, a running theme with this project! o>o;;

Productive day so far! Animations on those indicators could use a lil refining but overally happy. Also happy with the battle ost's progress as well, though I'm deliberating whether to share yet.

Base movement is implemented! Both the walk anim and the movement itself took the entire day unfortunately, but it works so I still consider this a win!

Bored Mage In Retro Abyss

"Yeah I guess I can vibe in an abyss for a bit." *shrug* (trenchbroom meshes nicer with aseprite than I was anticipating :D)

Really enjoying TrenchBroom as a dev tool. Took some time to get func_godot working on linux but tis done and the workflow has me relatively giddy ^^

Introducing The Jade System! (Jade Perardua)

Hello Tumblr! We never formally made an introductory post but now's better than never. We're the Jade System (JadePerardua)! We're trans, overall sapphic multimedia artists who dabble in krita, aseprite, ultrabox, ardour, godot, blender and most recently trenchbroom, with the goal of one day creating our own video game!
