I have finished the first third of A Court of mist and Fury in my reread and maybe its because im not 20 anymore, but, feyre is fucking insufferable. "Oh no I refuse to talk to my boyfriend and want to endanger myself and others so when he puts me in faerie toddler time out I have a panic attack. THEN mr super "evil" guy who is responsible for 95% of my suffering and ptsd and my boyfriends ptsd uses a vague legal loophole to kidnap me because he tattooed the patriot act on me and is using me as a walking spy cam and tampers with my boyfriends home security systems says I can kick it with him and need to become a WEAPON and I decide I'm not coming home because im mad that he put me in time out and it HIS fault and ive never properly communicated with him about anything I expect him to read my mind and dont communicate until the last possible second!!!!"

If Feyre can forgive Rhysand for UtM over a simple sob story with zero consequences, she can forgive Tamlin, Lucien, and Nesta. Just saying.

Heroes 101: Your ‘good’ guy can’t be worse than your ‘bad’ guy.

Feyre could’ve been A-okay and in peak mental health and Tamlin could’ve locked her up, and I’d still hate Rhysand more. Tamlin could’ve agreed to her demands, dragged her out to the forests and fed her to the Bogge himself, and I’d still hate Rhysand more. Lucien could've laughed in her face when she was having a mental breakdown, and I’d still hate Rhysand more. Nesta could’ve sucker punched her in the cabin, I’d still hate Rhysand more.

Because none of their crimes compares to sexually assaulting another, whatever Rhysand’s ‘reasons’ were.

Rhysand takes her against her will. Keeps her locked in the House of Wind, after she repeatedly asks to be returned to her home in the Spring Court. He completely disregards her request for freedom and keeps her locked in the Night Court for a week at a time.

And mind you, this is post-UTM. Where he also played a role in her "being locked up", because he was the only fae who had enough power to help her escape, not to mention that he had a secret city for her to escape to.

Sadly, the locking her up continues.

She can't even walk downtown Velaris or pursue a new venture with the art studio without Rhysand invading her mental privacy. She is placed in shields while pregnant, and lied to about safety.

Why is Feyre so hostile about him, wtf. First of all, wrecking a building should get you banned for life. That’s a big fuck up that could injure innocent people. Second, “vague apologies for the tardiness, blaming it on the attack” THE ATTACK THAT YOU LET HAPPEN BT DESTROYING SPRING. Not only does she devalue his reasoning, she’s also the cause of him being late in the first place.

I forgot this is why I don’t do rereads. It makes me want to strangle Feyre.

Okay so Feyre clearly admits it here that she knows that she laid the people and land vulnerable to Hybern. So if Feyre fans ever try to give yall a hard time about the war crimes she commits, even Feyre admits she did that 🤷‍♀️
