Sungjin: “I’m not saying that I dislike the guy, but if I had to choose between saving him or Donald Trump, I’d save Trump, and it’s not because I’m concerned about the well being of our country.” 

Dowoon: “You, my friend, are the human version of period cramps, or so you can relate, getting kicked in the balls.” 

Wonpil: “You’re literally the reason this country has to put directions on shampoo bottles.”

I don’t think you understand how much I appreciate, stan, and love Day6′s Sungjin. I’m a fan of many other kpop groups, but Day6 is so down to earth and makes me feel like it’s ok to be me. Sungjin has told his fans many of times that they deserve to eat, they shouldn’t worry about their body size, they need to take care of their health and mental health, and so much more.

Other idols have also said these things to their fans, but there’s just something in the way Sungjin says it. You can tell he genuinely means it and cares. He’s a Busan man, so he’s not too emotional, but in addition I feel that because he is a Busan man he would not say something he didn’t mean. 

He makes his fans feel safe, loved, appreciated, and important. He leads the dorkiest band, but that’s what makes him even better. He tells us it’s ok not to be perfect - he tells his members that it’s ok to not be perfect or have all the self-confidence in the world. Young K even said that “you can be a fool in front of [Sungjin] and you can trust he won’t look down on you.” He makes everyone feel like they deserve to be here and are important and I love him for all that he is and isn’t.

Day6 stans according to the ones I know

Sungjin stan: precious beans. Don’t wanna admit it but they’re big softies. Huge obsession over Sungjin’s nose and his “this grow together type love” cap. They wanna hug him every second of every day. Also they kinda have a thing for his hands. Mom of the group™️. Super wise and smart. But also funny af.

Jae stan: Two type of Jae stan - the softie and the sassy. The first one just go “aww” every time they see Jae, they wanna pinch his cheek and wrap him in a blanket. The second one is always teasing him, sometimes still call him chicken little and use memes of him 24/7. Tips: you can be both at the same time. Have an ongoing existential crisis. Artsy af.

Young K stan: a mess. They don’t really know if they love or hate him. They also have a thing for his nose, except that they die whenever he scrunches it. Forever traumatized by Hunt. If they could, they would feed that boy every chance they get. They tryna breath but can’t most of the time. Please save those poor souls. Internet famous. The coolest in the gang. Just like him, they’re Sungjin’s biggest fan.

Wonpil stan: the softest. They die a little when he wears a choker. Will probably try to hug you to death. Probably call him “angel”. They’d fight Jae or any other members when they tease him. Won’t admit it but they hate the pink sweater too. Say “cute cute baby love world people” probably 10000 times a day. Kings and queen of aesthetic.

Dowoon stan: not as soft as we could imagine. Sometimes the hardest kind of stan. But it’s stealthy. You won’t see it if you don’t pay attention. Obsessed with his arms. Could write a whole essay about his smile. Kick you in the face if you dare talk when he’s singing. Most likely to send you weird messages at 3 in the morning like “hey do you think my dog knows I love him”. Something like that.
