Why is the coyote on some sort of public transportation
This coyote is on a Portland metro area light rail train, and a few years ago it became a weirdly common issue around here?? They learned to use the trains to get to and from different forested areas, like from the Nike World HQ to the woods at Willow Creek. They’d ride really early in the morning when there aren’t a lot of people using transit. It made the news a couple times, the coyotes pretty used to people.
Similarly, pariah dogs in Moscow also ride the subway to get around.

this particular coyote is a trained coyote for this music video, but the video was inspired by the coyote that hitched a ride on the portland max train. i like that they used it as a commentary on human spaces infringing on natural areas
