Hello everyone, my name is Jake Hix and I'm a chef at Hungry's diner. If you're a friend in need, I'll probably give you a free meal (just don't tell my aunt, Hungry). It's really hard to run a delicious business in a town indifferent to taste, so please stop in to give a friendly hello.

Favorites: I don't really listen to much music, but if I had to pick, smooth jazz would probably take the cake. I do a lot of reading (I do that when things are slow in the diner) and I'd have to say my favorite book is The Physiology of Taste by Brillat- Savarin. I think my favorite meal to make is a simple grilled chevré sandwich. I do like to experiment with my cooking though.

I’m sorry, he looked really hungry and I can’t deny anyone or anything food, so I had to take him back……. (I gave him some leftover pasta if you were wondering….)

I took a walk down to what used to be the waters edge. I took the strange telegraph with me to see if the salt might help my brain figure out who could have sent such an odd request to me. I’m sad the report that the salt did not help. Though, on my walk, I saw a strange boy running around. I haven’t seen him around here yet, I wonder who he is.

Yeah him, he seemed distraught. I didn’t see the woman, just him.

Wait, he came into Hungry’s the other night for dinner. He gave me a good book recommendation, but other than that he didn’t talk much. I can’t imagine why he’d want to be here, this town is less interesting than my Aunts boiled potato’s.

I am not anti-cat. Where would we keep them?

Could they stay at your place…? If not i could see if i could keep em in the back of Hungry’s but I don’t think my aunt will be too keen about that…

Of course, as clean as a cat keeps itself a diner isn’t the best place, for the food or the cat.

I don’t think many of my customers would be thrilled to have cat hair in their food.

What kind of cat should we get? I was think of a tabby, but I’d be okay with anything. Anything you want, i want <33

Mmm, I think the vet/pound/pharmacy cleared out of their building a month or so ago, I’m fine with whichever we can find about town that’s friendly. I heard something about a ‘cat distribution network’ supposedly they tend to just pop up?
