The 2nd Amendment is no longer the right to bear arms. The 2nd Amendment has become the right to take lives. The 2nd Amendment is no longer aiding citizens. The 2nd Amendment is now abetting murderers.
When the laws don’t work, the laws must change.
Someone CLEARLY does not understand what the 2nd ammendment is about, why it was penned, and why it was placed second only behind the freedom of speech by our founding fathers.
To understand the second ammendment, you must first understand who wrote it and why they felt it so important. It's not about guns, it's about arms... all types of arms. The second ammendment wasn't written so the citizens would have the right to own guns for hunting. It was written to protect the citizens against tyranny.
Our founding fathers just finished fighting a WAR against a tyrannical government, and firmly believed that the citizens need to be able to arm themselves against the government if needed to keep the government in check and protect the freedoms that they so valued.
This isn't about the gun lobby, it's about freedom from tyrrany. The average American citizen, even those who have graduated with honors from college (nothing more but a high priced indoctrination program) can't seem to grasp such a basic and simple concept.
"Those who would give up essentialLiberty, to purchase a little temporarySafety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -Ben Franklin
