Today was my first day off in over a week and I’ve been cleaning and relaxing… Like, I’m sitting here and cleaning off an old pair of shoes I had and minding my own business. Then my brother messaged me and reminded me of the date.

October 15th 2015 was a weird day for me but easily one of the best days of my life for strange reasons. And it’s weird how just remembering it immediately put me in a much better mood.

I guess it’s just a good reminder that things can always improve in ways you wouldn’t even imagine. <3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Wrote this for @chibiedo‘s birthday. I decided to continue it in chaptesr because the idea turned out as a huge project. :D

The young man looked around, his blonde, fluffy hair covered under a hat. It was the 8 of November, his birthday. He turned 18 today and this was the first time he ever saw this city. It was overwhelming. People were passing the streets, singing, laughing and talking to each other. Some people went shopping. Restaurants and cafés were open, bright and warm. He could'nt belive his orange eyes, everyone appeared to be so happy.

The snow was fresh and still white. It smelled good everywhere, like cake and cookies. everyone could see it - it wasn’t long until christmas. He smiled while he walked down the pedestrian street. Soon he reached a christmas market. He walked across with shining eyes, watching every single station. It was just so perfect, so lively.The people were friendly, the food tasty. He bought a hot tea, set down on a bench, watching the laughing passengers. The were like a big family, he thought.

The boy turned his head as he heard the clock, it was almost 10pm. But it was okay, he had planned to stay outside for a couple of hours. As he turned, he noticed something. Or was it someone?

Yes, indeed it was someone, covered in a blaked, sitting on the cold ground. The prince’s smile vanished, this person didn’t seem to be as happy as the others around. He got up and walked over. It was a young boy with black hair and bright, green eyes. He lifted his head as he noticed the blonde one. „Hello.“ he sayed, smiling. „what a nice evening, isn’t it?“

The prince blinked. „Yes. Aren’t you freezing?“ he asked.

„Just a little bit.“ the boy replied.

The blonde took off his loak, covering the strager with it.

„Why?“ he asked. „now you’re gonna freeze..“ he blinked as he reconized who was standing in front of him. „Oh my.. golly well, I am so, so sorry.“ he said, getting up, still holding the cloak and his blanked. He was wearing a shirt and short panties, his skin looked tanned. He worked a bit, as the prince could see - or he just had to do hard, physical work.

The black haired bowed. „I am so sorry for not recognizing you, my prince.“ he apologized sincerely.

„Oh no.“ he said, smiling. He placed his hand on the others shoulders. „I’m not your prince. Just call me dirk.“

„..Dirk..?“ he asked, a confused look on his face.

„Well. That is my name. Dirk Strider.“ he explained, titiling his head. „Will you tell me yours?“

„Jake.. Jake English.“ he said, stunned by Dirks beautiful eyes.

„Hello Jake.“ he grinned, handing him the cup of warm tea.

Jake took the tea thankful, taking a sip. His body was shaking, his lips had already turned blue hours ago. He wrapped the blaked around his shoulders again, adding the cloak. It smelled good, very, very good. He closed his eyes for a few seconds.

„Why are you sitting here like this?“ Dirk asked. „Don’t you want to be at home with you family?“

Jake looked down, trying to hide his embarrassment. „I don’t have a home…“ „..Eh..?“

„…and no famlily..“ he added.

Dirk looked sad. „I’m sorry Jake, i didn’t meant to-“

„No, it’s okay.“ he said. „you couldn’t know that. And its fine. I like to sit here, just watching all the people walking around and laughing.“ He kept on smiling, but Dirk clearly could see the sparkling in Jakes eyes. Sparkling from upcoming tears he held back.

Jake took a breath and blinked, the sparkel vanished.

„Sometimes,“ Dirk started, „I wish I could be like you. I can imagine that it’s a hard life, but at least I would be free, wouldn’t I?“

„Free? You’re a prince, can’t a prince do whatever he wants?“

Dirk smiled sadly. „Not at all. You know, this is the first time I’ve ever left my palast.“ He lifted his head to watch all the stars in the sky. „I’ve never seen the city I’m about to lead. It’s so amazing. I always dreamed about having a life out there, seeing the world, meeting people, making friends.“

Dirk leaned against the wall, sliding down until he was sitting on the ground. The snow was cold ans slowly started to melt beneath him.

„So.. you don’t want to go back home?“ Jake asked, sitting down next to him.

Dirk shoke his head. „I’ve never chosen to be a prince and no one asked me to be.“ he shrugged. „I’m 18 now and I finally wanna live.“

„I see..“ Jake said. He wondered how it was to be a prince. Wasn’t it glamouros? „well if you want to, you can stay with me and I’ll show you the city.“

Dirk smiled. „That would be awesome.“

So Dirk decided to stay outside with Jake . And from now on, he went out more often, meeting him, having fun.

It was just 6 weeks ago that the two have met. Now it was two days before christmas. It was supposed to be another christmas in the palast, but he didn’t want that.

So he took some clothes and some money and left. He left without saying a word and he felt guilty, but he wanted to see Jake. And he wanted to have a life by his side.

Dirk ran, he ran trough the dark forest until he reached the city, ran trough the streets, passing people and stores.

He passed the christmas market, didn’t even pay attantion to it. All he could think about was Jake.

But when he reached Jakes place where he always had been, it was empty.

„Jake..?“ he asked. No answer. So he just sat down there, hoping that Jake would come. But he didn’t. Dirk knew Jake, he never would stay away without telling him. „Where are you.?“ he asked.

He slid his hand trough the cold snow, writing jakes name with his fingers. And as he did so, he noticed something. It was dark, drops. He took out a candle and lighted it. The drops were red. Blood red

„Jake..“ Dirk gasped, standing up again. If that was Jakes blood then he could be in serious danger. So Dirk started to run again, through the streets.

He stopped at a playground, sitting down on a bench to catch his breath.

„Hey..“ he heard a voice he knew way to well.

„Jake?“ he asked again, following the voice. Yes, it was Jake. He found him. Sitting under a tree, leaning against it. He had dried blood in his face.

„Jake.. what happened..?“ Dirk asked, kneeling down next to him. He stroked his cheek.

„Nothing special.“ Jake smiled. „I am sorry dirk, I wanted to meet you at our place but I fell asleep here.“

„Why did you leave the place? And who was that?“

„As a homeless it’s not easy here. Most of the people don’t like me very much you know?“

Dirk nodded.

„I left because my head hurts. So I went to a quiet place and sat down here. I planned to return before you’d come but I fell asleep.“

„Oh jake..“ Dirk wrapped his arms around him, Jake was so cold. „I won’t go home anymore.“ he whispered, kissing Jakes cheek.

Jake blushed. „How..?“ he whispered.

Dirk smiled. „Let’s go somewhere we can live forever.“

Dirk sat down on Jakes bed, his hair still wet and just a short towel wrapped around his waist. He just took a hot shower in jakes bathroom. Now, the black haired boy was in there, showering. The fox-boy titled his head to the side, looking around. He still had scratches on his body, left from the cat that hit him. The was thankful that Jake had saved him, otherwhise he surely would have died. His orange tail was moving a bit and so did his ears. He stroke his kinda messed up hair, feeling a little bit lost all alone in this room. Dirk looked up as jake entered, his bright orange eyes watching him. His cheeks flushed red. Jake was naked except for his boxer shorts. His hair was wet, water dripping down and running over his tanned body. „Hey“, Jake smiled at him. Then he noticed that Dirk was almost naked and blushed. „Oh gosh, i am so, so sorry. Should i leave you alone again? Wait, i will lend you clothes to wear, alright? I’m really, really sorry, i didn’t meant to…“ Dirk looked confused, trying to understand Jakes reaction. He was embarassed, wasn’t he? „Oh, why? Just sit down next to me. It is fine the way it is.“ Jake looked at the ground, seeming a bit shy. Then he went over to sit down next to Dirk. The fox placed his head on Jakes left shoulder, closing his eyes. Jake was warm and he smelled good, Dirk thought. Jake was still insecure, gently wrapping his arm around Dirks shoulder. He placed one hand next to his ear, gently starting to stroke him there. //It’s warm and soft.// The boy smiled, leaning his head against Dirks. The blond haired smiled as he relaxed, purring quietly. He enjoyed Jake’s affedtion quiet alot. And to be honest, he never let anyone touch him. But Jake was kind. He saved him and he trusted Jake more than he has ever trusted somebody.

Dirk snuggled against the other’s hand as the boy kept stroking him. He pressed his body closer against Jakes. Jake turned his head to watch Dirk’s beautiful face. He blushed even more, smiling. How cute he was. And kinda sexy though. After that, he noticed a bump in Dirk’s towel. It was obvious what it was. „Eh.. D-dirk..?“, Jake raised his voice. „Uhm?“ dirk opened his eyes, looking at Jake’s confused expression. Then he noticed. „Oh, I.. I’m sorry?“ he shrugged. „N-no its okay, really. I-i just uhm.. I didn’t expect that but i am fine with this. It is just an natural reaction of something you seem to like.“ The boy raised an eyebrow, pointing on the bump between Jake’s legs. „So you like being close to me?“ Jake was embarrassed, covering his face with his hands. „I-i-i-i-i am so, so sorry. Dirk smiled. „It’s fine“, he said as he changed his position, licking Jake’s warm neck with his tongue. „Everything’s fine jake, I like you, too. Pretty much.“

„Y-you..do..?“

Dirk nodded, kissing up Jake’s neck until he reached his ear. He licked it, down to the neck again, aiming for Jake’s shoulder. Dirk opened his mouth, gently biting the other one.

„Ah..“ Jake shivered, tilting his head to give Dirk more space. Dirk smiled, placing his hands on jakes shoulders. He gently pushed him back, kneeling down between Jake’s legs. „Are you alright?“ he asked, revealing his sharp teeth whilst smiling. „Yes. I’m pretty fine, Dirk.“, Jake replied, smiling as well.

Dirk nodded, moving down his head,placing his warm lips on Jake’s neck. He stroke him with them, sucking a bit on the skin. The hand slided down Jake’s side, gently scratching him. Dirk stopped at Jake’s hip, pressing him into the bed.

„Mh..~“ Jake bend back, opening his mouth a little bit. Dirk gasped, kissing down Jake’s torso. „D-dirk…“ Jake gasped, covering his eyes with his arm.

„Yes Jake?“, Dirk stopped as he reached Jake’s waist. Jake didn’t anwser, only his breathe got a little louder. He appeared to be excited. Dirk was glad Jake liked what he did. So he started to kiss his body again, tasting his warm skin. „Mh…“ He removed Jake’s shorts, throwing them away.

Jake bit his lip, mildly ashamed of the fact that he was completely naked. He didn’t get that Dirk was already naked as well. Jake moved his hand, stroking Dirk’s ear again. „Ah~“, the fox shivered, biting his lip. He took a deep breath to get a hold of himself and kissed up Jake’s leg til he reached what he was searching for.

Dirk wrapped a hand around jakes shaft, kissing the top of his dick.

„Uh..Dirk..“ Jake let go of Dirk’s ear to grab the blanket beneath him.

„You mean.. like in a friendship way of like? Or more in a.. you know.. really flushed kind of way..?“ Dirk wondered.

„I-in a.. well.. more than a friendship relationship thingy..“ Jake hid his face on Dirk’s shoulder. „I like having you around me and I don’t want to miss this.. Actually.. I really don’t want you to go..“ Dirk was listening, his heart beating somewhat faster. „So Jake…“, he started. „I love you~“

He was hugged closer by Jake. He smiled happily.

„I love you, too, Dirk. Would you stay with me forever?“

„Yes, of course. It would be a pleasure to do so.“

The fox stoke Jake’s cheek, kissing his nose and his lips. „I guess we have to shower again.“

Jake laughed. „Yes, seems like.“

Dirk grinned. He picked up Jake and carried him into the bathroom.

„Oh bloody nuts!!“ Jake turned around when he left the bathroom again, quickly geeting something to dress with. „Golly well we spent all night!!“

Dirk giggled, leaning against the wall. The sun was already rising.

„Oh my gosh I’ll be too late! Gotta go do work darling.“ Jake bearly brushed his hair, grabbing his jacked. Then he kissed Dirk. „See you later, okay?“

Dirk returned the kiss. „Of course. „I’ll wait here.“

Jake smiled as he run out of the door to get to work. Dirk sighed. He was tired, fell down into the bed and closed his eyes, still smelling Jake. „I’m really in love huh? Well, I think it feels really.. nice..“ He mumbled to himself. Then he fell asleep, dreaming about Jake.

Happy Birthday!!

When Jake opened his eyes, it was still morning and sort of dark outside. Not any morning in the year though, it was the first Christmas morning. How exciting! He sat up in the bed and stretched his tired body, put the curtains aside and smiled even more. The whole city was white- snow. Even better! Because today was the day, where he cashed his Christmas present from Dirk. For a second he got doubts. His 1920’s dirk was quite difficult from ‘his’ Dirk though. Maybe he shouldn’t have asked him for that.

The last time when they went ‘ice skating’ together, Dirk didn’t seem to be too amused about that. In fact, he did not even really try it. The man stepped on the ice– just to leave it again immediately.

Jake let out a sigh. Whatever, Dirk would have said no if he did not want to do it again so badly. But he was way too excited to think about the fact that Dirk probably just said ‘yes’ because it was Jake’s wish and Dirk loved him somehow. Anyways, he jumped out of the bed and got dressed. Warm clothes though, he didn’t want to freeze to death outside.

Or inside the house- because there was no fire in the fireplace yet. Of course not, it was 10am and Dirk either slept somewhere or he was still working.

You two have been together for a while now, but recently something had changed. Yoongi would stay in the studio, working longer. He'd often stay over night, you see him less and less. You love him, you trusted him, but something felt weird. 'Maybe he's seeing someone else..' you thought and decided to talk to him.

You have been snuggled up in your blanked on the couch, watching TV, just laying there and waiting.

When you heard the door crack open, it was almost 3AM. Your boyfriend was home.

You decided to stay where you were, since he'd expect you to be asleep anyway.

You hear him entering the living room, quickly rushing past you. Didn't he even look at you? You feel your heart shatter in thousand pieces. A while ago he'd pick you up when you fell asleep on the couch, when he came late he'd just come to you and kiss you, knowing you'd wake up from that and smile at him.

Yoongi steps into the the kitchen. You prepared dinner and snacks before, like every evening, but he wouldn't touch them recently. Not today either. Instead, he again just rushes past you and into the bathroom and locking the door.

Something is up, and you decide to sneak after him.

When you reach the door you head suppressed, silent sobs. Short and painful. You never heard or see him cry before. For a moment you stand there in shock, then you gently knock the door.

"Yoongi? Bae? What's wrong?"

He turns up the water in the sink. "Why are you awake y/n? Go back to sleep." He's doing his best to sound normal but it wouldn't help, you heard it before anyway.

"I'm not going without you jagi." You tell him reassuring and cross your arms.

"Don't be stupid, I'll be coming after." he says, his tone being rough.

You gasps out of surprise, he usually didn't talk to you like that. He had a short tempter from time to time, but his voice seemed so unusually cold.

"I barely see you recently, I miss you even though we're living at the same place.."

Your voice is shaking. You take a breath, fighting back your tears of frustration and sadness. This can't be true.

Yoongi sights and bites his lips. The water is still running over his harms. The bleeding won't stop just like that. He fucked up big time.

"fuck." he curses and takes a towel which he presses on the cut.

"Y/n listen, I'll be coming after. Just go away for now."

You wipe away your tears. Something is very, very wrong. "Min Yoongi what are you doing in there?! You're acting so weird, I don't even know you anymore."

You lean against the door, hitting it. You're so angry and frustrated.

"I don't have to justify anything, just piss fucking off already!" he shouts at the door, his body shaking, he's sobbing now. He doesn't care anymore that you catch him crying.

"You don't have to see me like this! I'll be okay, just leave!!"

You flinch from the tone, but you won't leave. You take a shaky breath, wipe away your tears.

"You open that fucking door now! You're hurting me with your behaviour!! I-I just want us to.. To be okay! To be happy, I want YOU to be happy! I can-I-I WANT to help YOU, Yoongi PLEASE!"

You're shouting too, your throat hurts from the sobs as you wrap your arms around yourself.

You lean against the wall, waiting.

It takes another 10 seconds before the door opens, and your mouth drops open in shock.

Yoongi stands there, looking down. He can't face, you, the towel fell down to the ground as his shaky hands had to unlock the door. His arm was red, dried stians of blood on his skin. It was still bleeding, just less than before, dropping down his hand and dying the ground red.

"Yoongi.. What... Oh my.."

You stop crying immediately, adrenaline pumping trough your veins stopping the shaking. He can't face you, and you just dash over.

"You don't have to do that..."

You gently push him backwards, making him sit on the toilet as you take a fresh, small towel, wetting it with the still running water and kneeling down in front of your boyfriend.

"Y/n... I'm.. I'm so-sorry.. I didn't want you to see me like.. Like this, I'm a Desaster.. You deserve so much better.."

"Shht. Don't speak." you say as you clean his arm. You take bandages out of the medikit which was in the bathroom and carefully wrap it around the wound.

When you're done, you stand up, carefully touching his wet cheek.

"Darling.. You've been working too much lately.. I know you want this project to be done as fast as possible, but you're already ahead anyway.. You need to take breaks.. You're wonderful just the way you a-"

"Don't tell me that stuff.." he complains, cutting you off midsentence. "I fucked up that song and I need, I just NEED to get this done beca-"

It was your turn to cut him off. "I bet no one said you fucked up, jagi, and you can't be doing this when you're sacrificing yourself! You haven't eaten in days, right?"

His eyes widened. "how do you..?"

"Don't give me that. Do you REALLY think I wouldn't pay any attention?! You're pale and tired, you barely come home. You sleep in the studio, and when you're coming home it's late. You don't greet me anymore, I haven't seen your smile in weeks. And now.. I have to catch you cutting your beautiful skin.." you sigh,, our hand caressing his cheek ever so softly.

"I already thought you might be seeing someone else.. Someone who can make you feel.. Happier.."

He closes his eyes, leaning into the touch." I'm so sorry, babe.. I couldn't ever. I love you, only you. I just.. I never wanted you to see me like this.. Bad phases pass sooner or later, I thought.. I-"

"Youre so stupid. I'm your boyfriend/girlfriend. You don't have to do anything alone. Maybe I don't understand much of your work, but I know you're a good person, you're amazing and you're pressuring yourself way, way too much. I'm with you, no matter what, and so are the boys.. I know talking is hard, but we will always be listening. I will always be listening.."

You lean down and give a soft kiss on his swollen lips, then taking both of his hands in yours.

Seeing your love like this breaks your heart, but you want to stay strong for him. He still feels cold.

" Thank you.. Y/n.. I love you too.. " he sighs and finally looks up to you. He gets up and pulls you close, and you lean onto him, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"We will check on your arm later again, and you will take a day off."

Yoongi shakes his head and sighs. "We're having practice tomorrow, I can't be missing."

You pull away and raise your eyebrow. "Min Yoongi, you won't go dancing in your current state. And if you or anyone else is complaining, I will call Jin hyung."

You make a pouty face which makes him smile. Weak, but it's a smile.

"Okay, okay." He says, kissing your cheek before yawning. "I'm tired.. Can we go to sleep?"

He asks, and you nod, taking his hand again and leading him to your bed.

He lays down on his back, pulling you ontop of him and covering the both of you with a blanket. Your head rests on his collarbone, his right arms is wrapped around your back, his left hand has its place on your head, carefully playing with your hear.

You snuggle into him, and a few minutes later his breath goes steady an calm. His hand slides down from your head and a silent snore fills the room.

Min Yoongi fell asleep, and knowing that, you finally dare to close your eyes and follow.
