Prisoners {Hook & Jake and Crew}

Hardy walls, no window large enough for him to fit through even if it hadn’t been barred, the only way out was through the cell door. So this was where Hook’s focus came to rest, and after a few more moments of resting, he made his way toward the boy.

With his hand, he half shooed Jake out from in front of the door. His only hint of what he was up to came afterward as he leaned against the bars with one arm, "I already have a key, if th’ lock’s large enough…"

His other arm half reached through the bars, which happened to be the one that had his iron claw attached to the base of the forearm. His hook did in fact fit into the keyhole, and closing his eyes, he listened without a word to a small series of clicks that slowly followed. After a few minutes, his hazel eyes reappeared as he commented, "It’s almost amusing that something meant to be more secure-" the lock made a final loud click, before the door slowly opened with a small tap of one boot, "-actually only makes it easier if someone has the correct tool."

Jake watched quietly for a long moment as Hook began to pick the lock on the cell door. It seemed like his hook was more useful than just a replacement for his missing hand. A small grin spread across the boy's face as the door swung open. "Wow, Captain, that's a handy trick. I didn't know you could do that," Jake commented before stepping out of the cell and looking down the way to see if there was any guard nearby. "It looks like the coast is clear."

"What’s wrong, Captain?" Jake asked looking up to the elder pirate.

"That blasted crocodile is back for the third time today and my nerves can’t take it!" the elder pirate was on edge as he yelled towards the water, "Curse you foul beast! CURSE YOU!!!!”

Jake went over to the edge of the ship where Hook was cursing the croc and peered over the edge into the water. He could see the crocodile just below the surface swimming about in circles next to the ship. Slowly it surfaced, facing the two as it's eyes popped up one after the other repeatedly to the sound of ticking coming from its belly. "I wonder why he's so fond of you today, the boy thought aloud, watching as the croc licked his lips.
