I’m surprised that nobody asked about Ford and Dipper.

What are their thoughts about Nick and his relationship with Stan?

honestly, i think at first, Ford would be a significant part of helping Stan and Nick get together or at the very least get Stan to realise he had feelings for Nick, thinking he was an alright guy, even somewhat smart (in his own way) and a capable shipwright.

Later on, when coming back to Gravity Falls, Dipper would at first be kinda sus on Nick and his past, finding the fact that he talks about historical figures like he knew them personally (along with other things) weird and not really liking that stan and nick was a 'will they won't they' type thing. Dipper would get Ford on his side about It and it would then devolve into at least half a season of Nick messing with them, feeding them fake information until someone just asked him outright and him happily giving over the information.

but i do think it would end up being a "we just want stan to be happy" type of thing and the 'Nick Investigation' would be out of love and not wanting stan to get hurt.

This is quite the departure from my last ask but--I just remembered a couple songs that remind me a lot of Nick and I just thought you might like em! :] (and I do mean a couple I just ✨ yap too much about ✨ lmao) The first one is Cartoons and Vodka and - if you've heard it before - I think you might be able to see why HJDFHFHJDF ("Don't you know it takes two crates of makeup to go out looking this fine?" and ESPECIALLY "I don't work these nails to the bone to hear you squabble and whine"--have such Nick energy to me) I feel like Nick and Stan really would be the type to - after the kids go to bed - uncork something strong, squeeze together onto that dang couch, and watch cartoons together :)

The second one is...a lot more obscure--I don't think I've met a single person in my age group that knows this band--but supposedly it was fairly popular when my parents were growing up? ...but the song is Песня о Москве ("Song about Moscow") (I've linked the anniversary version 'cause I like the vocals more, but the original is also nice cause it has a more interesting instrumental methinks ✨)

The melody is quite simple and romantic, but the lyrics (I couldn't find a half-decent translation so I had to write my own TuT) are the real star. The way it compliments various features of the city like its a person just gives. SUCH "Stanley complimenting his walking talking celestial body" vibes

(...because how much of a difference would it really make, loving just a city or loving an entire universe? a single human is seemingly insignificant to either...yet it loves them all the same...)

no joke, jinkx was one of the drag performers I took a lot of inspiration from when I made Nick! but you are so right about cartoons and vodka, it fits nicks drag persona very well haha- and oh yeah they would def sit down to watch something on the tv 'after hours' and Nick, who is the most awful type of "oh i love that outfit" and "do you think he would like babba?" movie watcher and would somehow get stan yapping during the whole thing as well so they wouldn't know what is going on in the plot half the time.

(the other song i have to admit I've not heard of before but might have to add to the playlist I've made for older songs that give off lovey-dovey stan and Nick vibes, I honestly have too many playlists at this point but music is just such a big part of how I get inspiration for things that I cant help it- ☆￣(＞。☆) )

I watched the show from start to finish and didn’t come back to rewatch it. You gave me the perfect excuse.

I now gave Stanford an ex friend that is a nature spirit connected to water. Perhaps down the line able to become friends again and the best friends type.

wild that i only just watched the show myself for the first time this year and find out I have motivated others to get into watching it again (most definitely something I'm very happy to hear tho! More ppl enjoying the show is always a plus Imo haha) and we really do need to give Ford more friends to reconnect with its my favourite type of Ford and oc content fr (Ｔ▽Ｔ)

I was wondering - does Nick have any specific drag names/personas he performs under when he is--well, doing drag--or does he still go by Nick? :3

haha Celestial Silver Fox is probably my new favourite way I've heard to describe Nick, and I actually really struggled with his drag name when I made the recent poster of him-

I really wanted to give him something fun as a drag persona and struggled to decide on just one, which is why I also kinda hid the runner-up names in the final piece, But for now, I've settled on Miss Nico Teena as the name he uses in drag. (tho I have to admit it was a tight run between that and Carmen Monoxide!)
