(ESTIMATED) 3,446 black people were lynched between 1882-1968. Keep in mind that not all of the lynchings were recorded, so their can easily be more. There was definitely a war on Blacks during the post slavery era in which racist whites (many, if not most apart of the KKK) tormented or murdered Black people. We are very well aware of this so I won’t go into a history lesson, but my point is that why is this not seen as terrorism? Killing thousands of people is only considered a “Hate crime”? That’s absolutely ridiculous. The Black Panthers were shut down because of their threat to “national security,” and “terrorism” (neither of which were true), but the KKK were still allowed to run around?
As the OP said, they’re organization was protected because they were white, Christian men. It would have been an international OUTCRY if the roles were reversed.
