I can't with the Sidemen fanbase sometimes. Why do you lot always have to hate on someone? First JJ and now Josh and Ethan? DON'T call yourself a Sidemen fan if you hate one or a few members. For example, if you only like Harry and Vik but hate the others, call yourself a Harry and Vik fan NOT a Sidemen fan.
Most underrated Sidemen ship is debatable but Minishaw is obviously the most overrated. Yes, I still ship them like I do with all Sidemen ships including poly but damn, Minishaw has way more fics than other ships and I swear people ship them mainly due to looks (they do have chem but there's plenty of ships to write about).
Tattoos...
One thing from the tmnt Bayverse that really made me wonder for a second, was the fact that each turtle had actual tattoos on their arms.
On the left, you got Mikey's, in the middle you got Raph's, and on the right you got Leo's. I'm not sure if Donnie has any though...It's been so long since I actually watched the movies.
But regardless, it just strongly implies that at least one of the brothers KNOWS how to give tattoos for some reason and I'm betting it's either Mikey or Leo.
EDIT: I was told Donnie or even Splinter might've helped make the tattoos based on the good arguments I got. Now that I know it was possible, I'm just pissed WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE A SCENE LIKE THAT-
It's very cute that Leo and Mikey have matching tattoos. Leo has one on his right shoulder and Mikey has one on his left shoulder. The tattoos represent Mikey’s admiration for Leo and Leo’s soft spot for Mikey.
I agree with the headcanon that Donnie does the tattoos and in my head, Mikey would have seen Leo getting one and was like "Donnie, I want one too."
For the people asking why Donnie wouldn't get one, it's because Donnie doesn’t need one. He internalises his identity. His brothers externalise it.
Here's the gist:
- Donnie doesn’t have one because he finds it unnecessary. His identity is in his mind, not his body. It's in in his inventions and ideas.
- Leo has 3 tattoos because he needs meaning and he wants to honor his family, culture and duty. It shows his wisdom and experience.
- Raph has one because he just wants to. He lives on emotion, autonomy and choice. It represents his rebellion and loyalty.
- Mikey has 2 tattoos. He treats his body like a canvas and lets his creativity shine. He gets tattoos because it looks cool and feels right to him.
A stripped-pine drop leaf table is placed to take advantage of fresh air and garden views. Lace-edged embroidered mats dating from the early party part of this century mark place settings. On the table, a 'spooner' made of faceted glass holds extra flatware.

Don't know if I should bother writing a whole ass essay or video analysis on why Bayverse Turtles is actually severely underrated but the hive minded TMNT fanbase seems to dismiss it entirely just because "everyone said so" and I doubt they would be ever convinced at all so my efforts may be worthless in the end.

Tbh idc if they have breasts or not, I just want cool genderbent fan art. They're mutants so anything could happen anyway. Before you pull the mammals card, only apes should be the ones who actually have breasts, the rest are just multiple teats that aren't even in the same position on the body as humans. The only fair argument is if the art is too sexualised. Other than that, pls don't come at me with the 'erm, akshuallys' and just let me enjoy some nice art.
Forgot to add that Rise Donnie has pretty big ones for a male but no one complains.

Me watching ppl hate on Raimi MJ bc they hate it when a woman is imperfect, confused and has autonomy in her life:
These ppl want obedient, 1D, stable love interests. No thanks, mate. Give me something with more flavour.
I think ppl just like to hate the Raimi characters in general only because they can't comprehend a flawed human being that makes mistakes because they aren't perfect. No one's right or wrong. It's just how life is.
Which is why the Raimi versions are my faves from the Spider-man films. They're morally grey, realistic and human af. And they stimulate my brain more than any other version.
I don't know why I'm so chill with gay ships like I ship almost all of them but then when it comes to straight ships I'm very picky about it and only ship a select few. I think it has to do with the writing and how most straight ships denote females (sometimes male if the MC is female) as love interests and nothing more, whereas gay ships are usually non-canon, written as friendship and treated as equals (although a few can be pretty bad because they're only there for pandering/fanservice like "oh look a gay ship" and then never expand on it). I think writers are also better at writing friendships than romance which is why I tend to ship friends?

My problem is today's society (moreso the younger lot like teens) not being able to accept the fact that some characters are made to be imperfect and that's what makes them complex, three dimensional and human. They hate it when "good" characters make mistakes because they expect these characters to be perfectly upstanding angels but are fine with "bad" characters being presented as evil, when really characters can be a mix of anything; a lot of black and white thinking. As a result, there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding in fandoms.
For example, in the Spider-man Raimi movies, people tend to hate on MJ and occasionally Peter, but they don't understand the situation these guys are in and judge first. MJ comes from an abusive household so of course she's going to be a bit clingy and in need of emotional support from Peter to be there for her because she's had no one to turn to in her home. Peter on the other hand, has his issues with commitment because he doesn't know how to set his priorities or make choices, hence trying to juggle everything in his life and on top of that, the miscommunication with MJ making it even more difficult. They were both at fault but I think that's why I'm more drawn to them than the other Spider-man movies.
Another example is Andre from the Rose of Versailles. People don't understand his actions and make him out a be a monster even though he isn't. He's a desperate lower class man on the verge of blindness who's watched the love of his life pine for someone else yet he's always still loving, selfless and apologetic. It's really sad how the fandom is now kind of annoying with these new fans.
All these problems and faults these characters have are the reasons why I love them. Good or bad.
